4 screws and a sore back later and the broiler is in. Works as it should so no complaints. Words of advice to anyone trying this. Unplug or turn the breaker off before you start. Stoves from my experience have the 240v running to the various dials and burners. When you turn on the particular burner it simply allows the current to flow through by completing the circuit. In other words there's power there even with everything off. The backs are sheet metal and it's easy to ground out just pushing and pulling to get the stove out where you can work on it.

Did not work.It was the same model as the one I had on my stove. My stove is 14 years old. The bake rack for the bottom works great. We even replaced the sensor, but it still did not work for the broiler rack.

Came in large box and was undamaged. Fit my whirlpool oven perfectly and installation was easy. Works perfectly and would recommend and use this supplier again.

This is a perfect fit for my GE oven broiler element. The original one in my 10-year-old GE unit had been failing for a while. Sometimes it would come on if the broil temperature was lowered a bit, but it finally failed completely last month.I cross referenced my model on another parts site to insure that my oven matched the part number replacement claimed here in the title. It arrived without damage in a goodly-sized box - no bubble mailers for this item! Although there was a copious amount of bubble wrap in the box...The element was identical in size, shape, and look for every aspect to my original part.As others related in their experiences, I unplugged the oven, removed the back cover, unplugged the spade connectors from the element, then removed the 4 screws inside the oven compartment to remove my broken unit. A simple reverse of these steps with the new unit, and I has broiler again! So go ahead, do it! You know you want that broiled steak in the middle of winter... mmmmmm, steak.
