This liriope is best used as a ground-cover, border or edging plant or in a mass planting.
This plant prefers moist, loamy soil and partially shaded areas, but will tolerate dry soil areas once established. The liriope is quite tough and is both heat and drought tolerant. Its flowers bloom best in a sunny location.
Not to be confused with “Big Blue” Liriope, Super Blue has a more vigorous growth habit and can grow to be 20 inches tall. It is exceptional as a container plant, lush border or pathway edging, in mass plantings and under large trees. This hard-working shrub grows well in hard to grow places such as banks and slopes, driveways or filling in gaps between shrubs.
One of the least invasive of the Liriope family. This liriope variety prefers moist, loose soil that is fertilized and well drained and can tolerate dry soil conditions once established. It is heat tolerant, drought tolerant and salt spray tolerant. Once established it requires very little maintenance.

I planted these in 2020, around the base of our Live Oak tree, zone 9 coastal texas - they have survived heavy rain, a couple freezes, and the chemicals released by the oak that stunt other plants. I also cut them down to the ground after a freeze, they started flowers maybe a year after planting, now they are about a foot tall, all of them have the purple flower shoots, and most importantly THEY HAVE NOT SPREAD

I would definitely order from these folks again. All the plants came green and healthy, well packed, and on time. All 20 had large roots and looked well taken care of.

Plants arrived health and well packed in a sturdy box. Better price and size of plants compared to Lowes & Home Depot. We got the first 40 planted in about an 1 1/2 hours. Wife’s decided we need another 100 -150 at least to fill in areas where we don’t want to mulch anymore.

Plants did not look like seedlings but possibly a year old, which is good because they are therefore stronger. All plants arrived in good condition and moist.
