This is a beautiful, well-constructed, metal bell. My son loves to carry it around and ring it all day. While we gave it to our son, this would be great to use for meditation or prayer. I can see it going very well in a temple or shrine.

I got this on a lark, but I'm quite happy with it. The design is quite ornate and decorative, so it looks good just sitting on a shelf, but it's also functional with a loud (for it's size), clear ring.

This bell looks fabulous as decor and doubles by doing an amazing job of grabbing attention! It is beautifully crafted solid metal and has zero flaws or imperfections. The bell has a loud, clear sound that can be heard from far away, or ringing it more gently, it can be used in closer confines as well. It is not so loud or piercing that pets shy away from it. Our cats have been completely fine at the sound at very close range. It sounds beautiful and is fun to ring! The dangling part inside the bell is slightly longer than the bell, so setting it down will immediately stop the ringing.It is very solid but lightweight and easy to hold and ring. It is a lovely bell!

If I had to come up with a single word review for the Homelavie Store's "brass" bell, it would be 'classy.' It's a beauty, even if it is made of bronze - a much better metal for a bell! It's note is sweet, consistent, and plenty loud, even without giving it too much of a swing. The decoration on it is exactly like the page image. Five stars all the way.

Never in my life did I think, “You know what I need? A bell.” And yet, here we are. One impulsive decision later, and I’m the proud owner of a masterpiece that has completely changed the way I summon my cat for dinner.As a first time bell owner, I have no point of comparison, but I can confidently say this thing is built like it belongs in a fancy old timey hotel. It’s all metal, solidly crafted, and even the little clapper on a chain situation looks like it was designed by someone who truly cared about making a beautiful bell.My cat? Obsessed. Not because he appreciates fine craftsmanship, but because he now associates the sound with food. Regardless, he loves it, I love it, and honestly, I might start ringing it for my own snacks too. I would recommend to anyone who didn’t think they needed a bell.

This is one of those things. I have rationalized that my elderly loved one with limited verbal skills can use it to call me for help. While that is true, the bell is every bit as fashionable as it is functional.The material is as represented in the listing. The bell is simply exquisite, from the flower petal hearts, to the crown on top, it is perfection. It has a nice clapper suspended from a dissimilar metal chain inside. It moves freely and creates a clear, loud sound with minimal movement.You need this

This is a beautiful, well made bell, but it is not super loud like the page claims. It is just... a bell. You know those hand held school bells? Those are louder. But my kids can still hear this when they are in the field across the street from the house. I got this so I wouldn't have to yell when I want them to come home, but I don't think this will cut through the noise from a game of baseball. It is very pretty though, and quite solid... it doesn't feel cheep at all.

This multi-purpose bell that's slightly taller than an 8 oz. coffee cup is made from bronze and its outside is covered with intricate designs for a classical look. Although my pictures make it look somewhat yellowish, the true color is closer to platinum. The sound of the bell is very bright and it rings freely. Right now I'm using it (as sort of a joke) to call my kids to the dinner table since they don't seem to hear me shouting. However, you can use it as part of an official ceremony or on the front desk of a hotel reception, etc. Not overpriced and built well.
