I wish I had gotten these a few years ago. They are absolutely perfect for me and my sons. They would be fun for adults also. They are very durable.

Bought for two boys, and we're having fun. No issues yet. They seem strong and sturdy.

I ordered these padded swords for sparring at a Mead BBQ I had. Once the adults saw them, they stopped ax throwing and spear throwing to beat up on each other with these swords. The swords are padded but solid so they aren't to soft and squishy but still soft enough to not hurt each other. They are also very durable, adults used these more then the kids got to and they started hitting each other pretty hard but the swords stayed solid. I come from a martial arts back ground as well and these swords are a lot better then a lot of the cheap (quality) swords the dojangs and dojos use and we're even cheaper price wise then those too. Great training swords!

My son is a fencer, and my husband wants to practice with Him at home. Wasnt sure about these, but it does pretty well in the sense that although they are bulky and heavy, it will help him with strength. Otherwise, they are fun foam swords to knock your friends around

Empeze a dar clases de kendo, todas vienen con su mochila y son de tamaño adecuado para edades de 12 a adultos. No tienen la curva pero el pimpacto no duele (a menos que le des con muuuchas ganas).

They deliver a punch. These aren't a soft foam toy for little kids.

These are perfect! We made it through Christmas and January and they're still just as good as new. My 7 y/o absolutely loves them! 10/10 would recommend

Me and my buddy two untrained swords men bought these and when they came in continued to wail on eachother for about two hours. They don’t hurt that much. And in that time the only issue is that the hand guards became a little loose. Overall fun and worth the money

I've been using these with my 7 year old. I'm training him on some longsword style and he's having a blast! I always wanted something like this when I was that age and not only was there no educational content on the use of swords, but there also weren't any good sword analogs at that time.I've looked into practice swords for HEMA and people tend to recommend 1) blunted steel blades, 2) wooden wasters, or 3) synthetic polypropylene-type materials. The problem is, these all require armor to keep the participants protected. Under the hot sun that kind of bites. And the armor is not cheap!Enter these beauties. They have EXCELLENT balance. I measured the Point of Balance at 3.75" up from the guard. They stick a bit when you bind them together, just like sharp steel. They don't easily slide against each other. The flexibility also is on point. I don't have a way to measure it easily, but let's just say that they have a very good rigidity -- not too stiff, not too flexible. They are pretty soft... light overall. But if you whip someone hard with one it will hurt. You can also thrust hard and it's like a punch. So they could be A BIT softer. But honestly it's hard to expect better. Start making them too soft and they won't have the required physics to act like real swords. I have been using these with my 7 year old with no armor or protective clothing of any kind. Some very minor injuries have occurred. I do fear a bit for my balls. I am slowing him down periodically as he tends to get intense and aggressive. I focus on the moves and techniques and that helps a lot. These attract A LOT of attention when we bring them to the park. All the other boys come around and want to try them. We have let them a few times, but I'm starting to rethink this, as they CAN cause some damage. The last thing I want is for some random kid to whack another random kid in the face as hard as he can. That would be bad. Not deadly, but enough to get the attention of parents. I will be telling kids from now on that they can get hurt and they need to have their parents' permission first. If you are somewhat careful with these then you really shouldn't need protective gear. Just don't go full hog.I might alter my review if one of us gets really hurt.... but I do not see this happening. So far so good!I would really like to see more styles of these. A longsword version with a proper crossguard would be great. Also a longer version would be good, say 45" would be good for adults, and a single handed version would also be good -- roughly same length as these (maybe 32") but with a shorter hilt. I'm planning on ordering more of these....

Great sword to play with your kids. Very resistant with good grab and perfect weight. My daughter does karate and I bought for training. We have lots of fun.
