About this item

  • Meets anti-vibration standard EN ISO 10819: 1996 and ANSI S3.41
  • Black nylon, 7-gauge shell for durable

Superior nylon vibrastop anti vibration full finger glove. These gloves are padded with a layer of vibration dampening polymer. Specially compounded, formed chloroprene coated, seamless lined gloves. Good for protection from repetitive impact and work with pneumatic vibrating tools. Ergonomic design offers both comfort and flexibility. Meets the EN ISO/ANSI standard for vibration reduction. Repetitive trauma associated with excessive vibration to the hands is a big problem in north America. Employees develop many symptoms associated with hand arm vibration syndrome (HAVS). Hand arm vibration is vibration transmitted into your hands and arms when you use hand held powered work equipment. Too much exposure to hand arm vibration can cause hand arm vibration syndrome (HAVS) and carpal tunnel syndrome. 7 gauge thickness. Black color.

Great for absorbing vibrations and jackhammering.

I suffer from a neurological disorder but on good days can craft. Thought these might help with a hand held sander. Unfortunately I can still very much feel all the vibration. They are very durable.

Last time after mowing the lawn for 45 minutes my whole hands felt like they buzzed for 25 minutes afterwards. With these, only a small part of my palm felt the buzz. It was way milder and was less than 5 minutes before it was gone.It was awkward to grip the mower handle but was way better than before. Would be 5 star if it completely left.

Stops the vibrations quite good! Happily surprised what difference it makes

I first bought these after a conversation with a friend in occupational safety about angle grinders, and at the time I was doing a lot of work involving heavy wire wheeling with one. Wire wheels and cups, knotted or otherwise, cause the machine to vibrate a LOT more than most any other wheel, and for use with a cutoff or general grinding wheels, leather gloves and/or other options without as much padding but a little more overall hand protection, are likely enough. That said, my projects at the time justified looking at these. While I'd LOVE a pricier option that were essentially the rubber part of these built into some larger, elbow length welding gloves, for the best of both worlds (vibration protection but no need to grab another pair if, say, I have to switch to another wheel type for a bit, that may break) I have no complaints about these in the context of reasonable expectations. I had my first pair for just a few days over three years of serious use, on average, easily every month or close to it in my home shop and while the polyster (or similar material) backing did get holey eventually, even today they're not bad enough to seriously inhibit use. Again, some actual protection of the back of the hands would be nice, i.e. leather options, but I digress. Great product for the money.

These gloves may suppress vibration, but I was unable to get full use of them. What I didn't understand was that they are really quite bulky in the palm and fingers, making it hard to operate whateve is causing the vibration. In my case it is a weed trimmer, which I have to operate for sometimes an hour or two at a time and makes my hands numb or painful. Keeping the trimmer trigger activated with these gloves on was not easy because of the very thick fingers, had to curl my hand into an uncomfortable position to use the trigger. I found that it ended up causing my right hand more pain with the gloves on than without. My left hand, which only has to hold the shaft and direct the blade was comfortable enough, and I didn't experience the tingling and numbness that I had previously. So five stars for my left hand, one star for my right. If you don't need fine control of whatever you're doing, I imagine these gloves might work for you.Oh, piece of advice regarding size. I am on the cusp between large and XL by their sizing, so bought XL. Large probably would have been a better choice, the gloves are a bit too big. Tight would definitely be better as they have stretchy material on the back that I think would allow for larger hands. .

I used them to do mowing, trimming and blowing. My hands used to tingle after doing the yard, now they don't. Very good!

While using a 90 pound, ridged-handled pneumatic jackhammer for 8+ hours a day on concrete, my hands would often ache during and afterward. Weird! I know. I took to using lined leather gloves, which did slightly softened the constant impact but grew too hot in warmer weather. I had plenty of time to think of solutions, but this one is better than my imagination. These gloves fit well, are breathable, and most of all save my hands everyday! It’s not like I can’t feel the jackhammer, but the pain is kicked. These definitely work! They have proven very durable. I thought the padding would eventually crack or become brittle, but they are as good as new after weeks of daily abuse. I will say that they don’t provide much protection on the fingertip (the padding ends right at the top of the finger pad) or back of hand, but for a lot of work this isn’t a requirement. When I switch from obliterating concrete to picking up the mutilated remains, I change gloves to something more suited for this. Also used these while beating things with my 28oz framing hammer, and that was like swinging a wooden spoon at some pillows. The quality of the impact absorption was extremely apparent on a smaller scale.I highly recommend these gloves to save your hands from vibration and repeated impact.

I have arthritis in my hands. My yard is large to edge and i have to use a push weed eater. The machine is wonderful and fast but the vibration kills my hands. Lately i can not finish yard at one time before my hands are screaming. I just finished my yard and my hands are no worse. These gloves dampen the vibration excellently. For dexterity they are terrible. I am VERY happy with them.

I took a bunch of damage to my sensory nerves in my arms at a heavy grinding station (metal grinding) due to the constant vibration of the tools. I ordered these gloves to be able to work there but was tasked to a "lighter" grinding station. After three days there my arms/hands were in bad shape. I decided to use the gloves.I noticed the difference within a day. I slept without my arms/hands even going numb that night, and using the gloves the next day produced the same result. It has been 11 days on the first pair of gloves and my arms/hands are healing. I am still using my first pair, and I have 3 more pairs sitting in my locker.

I work in Aircraft Graphite Assembly and I use air tools most of my day at work. Drills, Grinders, Sanders, Rivet gun. My biggest complaint about these gloves is you have to be very careful and baby these gloves to not damage them. On a few occasions I have slipped the grinder on to the glove and has caused major damage. I have used other gloves by Superior that have taken a major beating and lasted me months where these I have only used for over a week so far. The anti vibration foam works pretty good although can still feel some vibration as may be expected but not very durable. An example when I need to change drill bits I take these gloves off for that process. That type of process should not be an issue. The foam part and the knit part need to be cut resistant to make these gloves better.

I grind a LOT of steel plates and while you still need to take breaks and nothing will take all vibration away, I am more than willing to say these things have saved my hands, and in that regard, they paid for themselves the first day. Before these, I literally could not snap my fingers and clenching my hand into a fist, hurt. After I started using these gloves, the vibration damage to my hands decreased by about 80%. Another trick I use is to wrap a foilized metal bag, like a Doritos bag around the angle grinder. I don't know if there's any evidence that one gets any type of radiation from holding a little electric motor in your hand all day, but I swear the foilized bag trick makes my hand feel much better. The bag will block radio waves (put a cell phone in one once and call it--it will not ring) and this in turn keeps them out of your hand, or at least greatly reduces them.
