I installed the new induction fan in my furnace. It was very noisy and out of balance. I removed it and found all internal fasteners were loose and the power wire was touching the fan blades. A little rework and reinstalled. Works well now.

This part is packaged poorly, which is the reason the fans are often broke before the box is even opened. I received a defective part so I went through the process of returning and getting a new one. The new one was also defective. In both units the fan was misaligned causing the blades to rub/grind against the wall.I read another review here that suggested spending a few extra bucks on the Packard brand for this replacement part. I'm here to tell you that the Packard brand came packaged carefully in bubble wrap and the fans were perfectly aligned. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY this worthless piece of junk. Get yourself a OEM part or take a look at Packard.

So much cheaper if you know how to install. Husband installed this super fast and it’s been working ever since.

When a furnace goes out in the middle of winter, in Colorado, it’s never good. Tried to purchase the same part from a different supplier and it never shipped. Turned around and ordered from this supplier and received it right away. Great part and fast shipping! Thank you!!!

Was quiet when first installed, after a week has gotten noisier. Time will tell if it gets worse.

It took me all of maybe 30 minutes to replace my old one that was on its last legs and making grinding noises on startup sometimes. It literally took me 5 minutes to remove the old one and 5 minutes to install the new one. Watch some YouTube videos before doing. It’s actually very easy. The other 20 minutes were spent removing the old silicone and putting new silicone on.Although technically you don’t need silicone, it’s recommended that you do and I used high temp stuff although I’m not sure you absolutely need that either.Just check that all the screws/bolts are tight on the motor and the fans spin freely before installing, as during shipping other people are saying they’ve had problems with that. I didn’t but I did check after reading their reviews before I purchased. For this particular part, it’s very easy to replace yourself and you can save a ton of money and it’s not dangerous to do. If it was a gas part or something requiring removing gas lines or such, I’d probably hire a pro.Since the old one still sort of works , I’ll keep it as a spare that I could put in for a short amount of time until a new one arrives if this one ever gives up the ghost. I also purchased a spare pressure switch incase that ever goes.

This fan is a poor design by Nordyne and during shipping it is easily broken. I order this fan 3 times from different hvac suppliers and all 3 came dead on arrival. What happens is it gets banged around in transit and the fan motor bracket gets out of alignment and the blades rub against the housing. I sort of was able to fix one of them so it spins, but returned it after installing it because it was extremely noisy.Brings me to this fan from Supplying Demand. It’s of course the same design, almost exactly like the original, but this fan was well packaged for shipping. Fan was inside a box inside another box inside a third box. This helped keep the fan from being damaged in shipping. I installed it and it’s much quieter than the old original Nordyne fan. The original lasted 12 years so I hope to get many years out of this one too. I may order a second one to keep as a spare.

***NOTICE*** This inducer fan & motor showed up with loose nuts holding the motor in place. They are metric #6 nuts, make sure you tighten them(2) and be sure the motor is secure in it's mount. If not the nuts will vibrate off and the motor will move about causing the fan blades to hit the plastic housing and then breaking the blades off. The other reviews are not about bad blades but more about the motor shifting and jamming up the blades. Other then that it is a direct replacement and works just fine. Would buy again if ever needed.Easy peezy install in a down flow mobile home furnace.
