Does what it is supposed to do. I got the black one and within a day the color started scratching off. Not a huge deal but annoying.

Part of the functionality worked part of it did not. Started off thinking it was the battery, so replaced the battery that shipped with the pen, and it did not effect a change. It did not write! The end of the pen that clicked did effect a change on the computer, but it would not write. One star for shipping a faulty product. Actually, I think that the unit was not NEW but had been shipped and returned and then shipped to me.

So, full disclosure, I thought this was an official MS Surface Pen when I bought it, but I now realize it’s a replica. That said, its performance is indistinguishable from the official MS pen I’m replacing (before the old one started misbehaving). It draws very well, straight lines an all, and I’m incredibly happy with it. Will likely buy another one soon as a backup, in case I lose this one.NOTE: it does NOT come with the required AAAA battery, luckily I had the one from my old pen. Will be buying extras of those soon also. (The end pulls out *straight* to access the battery bay, do not try to unscrew the pen or it will break.)
