The attic ladder in a house i recently bought wouldn't close shut, so i contacted the manufacturer and bought replacement struts through them. Unfortunately the replacement struts did a worse job that existing ones and i sent them back. These were 4 times cheaper and are doing a great job at keeping the door flush with the ceiling!!Only downside going this route, is i had to use a ratchet to pre compress the struts for installation. The ones from the ladder manufacturer came precompressed.

The gas springs were an exact replacement for the LoRider tonneau cover for the box of my Silverado. Easy replacement. Beats getting hit in the back when the old ones decide to let the cover drop.

Exact replacement and arrived early! Priced well. No instructions but they (2 included) are easy to install. Make sure to prop open your gate for safetythen use a thin flathead screwdriver to remove clips partially or completely and pull off piston end as you remove clips. New ones will press on and self lock. No need for "priming" clips.Pistons are sturdy as Atlas himself!

We had a strut freeze up on the bed in our RV. The bed itself lifts to provide additional storage space. I had gone to various RV stores in the area and no one carried the size we needed. Boom, Thanks Amazon!! The strut was the proper size and matching Lb. resistance as the other side. Installed easily and is working as it should. Good purchase.

They work real well! One draw back was the 160's were to strong! Our RV storage compartment lid would not stay closed. I purchased a set of 120's that fixed the problem we had! Overall, I would recommend using storage compartment struts for your under bed storage needs.

These gas props work and hold up great. I measured the weight and it truly is an 80lb gas spring. I ended up returning the item, but only because I realized that I needed something different for my project. I had no problems with the return: there were no questions asked and I was able to complete the return within a day or two. As such, I cannot attest for this product over long-term use, but from my tests it held up well. Also, in case the posting is not clear, this product does not come with any ball studded mounting brackets; so you will have to purchase those separately.

I have a 1995 Chevy pickup that came to me used, and the shocks on the tonneau cover were completely shot. I got the number from the old ones and looked these up on Amazon. As heavy as the cover is, (I was propping it up with a section of 2" x 4") I was skeptical about the shocks being able to handle the weight. I looked at the pics of the holders for the ends, and straightened the existing ones with pliers. When they arrived I went out to install them. I thought perhaps I'd have to take the mountings off, but was pleasantly surprised to find they popped right off with the palm of my hand and these popped on. I removed the 2" x 4", and the top stayed up! Opens and closes with just enough pressure to stay closed if I forget to latch it. Easiest replacement on this truck so far! A GREAT product, I wholeheartedly recommend them!
