For the low asking price, this is a decent piece of kit. It is sturdy, the adjustable angle seat mount is solid, and it works well. Finish is good and the height markings are clear and useful. I used my phone to measure the angle of the seat on the old post and replicate the angle on the new post. For starters, this is a simple spring post. There is no damping. That said, it seems as if there is some type of snubber to prevent bottoming since I haven’t heard or felt a solid bottoming. I did not disassemble it to check. At full hard adjustment, the post seems about right for about 220-230 pound rider. If you’re more than that, you may be disappointed. You may be able to shim for more weight but I can’t back that up. The action is smooth when new but there is only a wiper to prevent water and mud from getting in the moving parts, so may be better suited for road riding than muddy single track. An accordion boot would be a good addition in adverse conditions. It appears to have 2” or more of travel and most definitely smooths out the bumps.

I thought the price was possibliy incorrect at around $27 as of the time of this review but it's definitely worth a lot more! Was super easy to install even without the provided instructions. The 2 included hex wrenches were a nice bonus so I didn't have to dig mine out. One hex wrench is for your bolts which attach the post to your seat / saddle. The 2nd is for adjusting the preload on the post. I weight about 185 and ride mostly my hard-tail mountain bike on crushed granite single track but do end up on some technical rocky stuff quite often as well. I have it set to approx the mid-point of the adjustable range. In the super rough stuff I'm standing up off the seat but for those few hard bumps you hit while still sitting it makes a big difference in both comfort and also not throwing you off your balance when on very technical terrain. So far it's excellent.

Ordered this for my hardtail emtb. Was planning to try some trails on my hardtail ebike that had mostly been used on paved ways. I've tried a suspension post on my trail hardtail before and while not the same as full suspension does make the ride more comfortable and helps on descents if you don't have a dropper and just lower the seat as I do (just in case you hit hard and accidentally fall back on the seat). This one is pretty nicely made and seems more premium than my other basic one. Relatively light with markings for seat adjustment forward and back and easy 2 bolts to secure tilt and placement. Also nice textured post with measurement markings there too making it easier to set height. Comes with the Allen keys both to attach seat but also to adjust preload on suspension (on bottom , no rebound adjustment). Pretty impressed and exactly what I was looking for. Will update later if any issues arise with use.

I am amazed at the quality of this GEWAGE suspension post for the price of only $27. The post does not have nor need the rubber accordion collar which I thinks looks really cheap. The seals look great. The pre-load suspension is adjustable, so you can crank it up if the rider is typically heavy.By the looks of it there is a maximum travel of 2". I doubt it would ever get to that bottoming out though. It comes in 3 different post sizes, so measure yours before you buy.Overall, I am very pleased. In the spring when I ride it, I will have a better view of the performance.

$30 bucks is a small price to pay for a little extra comfort over a 20 to 120 mile ride.Sure, most of the shocks you take are going to straight to your arms and legs but we've all hit that random pothole or tree branch when we were thought the trail was clear. Why not add a little suspension to your saddle?Recommended

These are nice alternatives to their counter parts for hundreds of dollars. Don't get me wrong they are good but not great for their price points. If you want great these aren't for you. These are a basic spring-loaded system so I wouldn't expect these to be as good as some of the alternatives. Expectations have to be exercised here since these are a much cheaper but functional product.

This post I found was very comfortable to use on my bike. Installation was easy and it offered great size and functionality. It seems to be good quality as it looked and appeared to be built well and strong. There was not very much adjustability to it as it is a shock seat post but it fit perfectly. When looking around, I found that other suspension seat post were a bit more expensive so after using this one for the money, it appears to be a great value.
