The spring was so tight that there was very little benefit to the seat so I returned it.

This is a nice seat post and well made. It works great and easy to adjust. Once adjusted you dont have to mess with it. Great product and great results.

The only thing I recommend is making sure the diameter is correct. I measured the seat stem incorrectly ( due to I didn’t have a calliper ) and had to purchase a seat post shim . Other than that it works great .

This really smooths out the ride. I took it on a rough levee before and after I installed this one. It was a night and day difference and you just don’t even know it’s there (no slip in the shock absorption). It also helped me to mount the seat using the rails on the seat instead of the stock seat post connection and gives me ability to get the seat back a little farther for a much better bike fit.

This seat post does not advertise a range of rider weights for its use. I weigh about 140 pounds, and the spring within it is so stiff, that I can't get it to cushion my ride at all. I thought it might be broken but after troubleshooting I figured out it works. The caveat is I literally have to stand up on my pedals and land on the seat from a height to get it to compress.I imagine if you weigh closer to 200 pounds, this seat post would do the job for ya. If I had known the post and spring was meant for heavy riders, I would not have purchased it. I also have the spring at its loosest setting (which is how it arrived). If I unscrew it anymore, the threads of the tensioning screw will come out which is warned against.

I have had several rides with it installed and I have to say its pretty good its not spongey feels natural and when you do hit bumps it takes a lot of the heat so to speak, makes for a better ride!! Just wish they made them Blue!
