The Speed Square and Big 12 Speed Square and Speed Trim Square are all proudly made in America, forged from aluminum alloy. Each has practical, functional uses on every job site – and home improvement projects too. These three squares share features that are used by every tradesperson: common rafter and hip/valley rafter scales that permit one-number references for all cuts. The square is merely rotated to the proper roof pitch value on either scale to assure the correct angle cut. The slot along the scales will accommodate an adjustable locking pin for repetitive cuts using any 1/4-inch bolt and nut. Everyone who does projects needs a set of squares. These have proven to be a great buy. They are sturdy though not steel. They are fairly light weight. Very square (I checked with calipers).
