The item title indicates only 1 fondue plate. What a nice surprise when I opened the carefully packaged box to find 4 plates! ( definitely not complaining!!) The plates are well-made from a sturdy ceramic material and there are no rough edges or scratches.I don't do Fondue, so originally when I thought I was only getting one plate, my plan was to use it as a snack plate with nuts, pretzels, m&ms, small pickles, olives, and put toothpicks in center section. Since none of these would spoil, I could put on dining room table and anyone could help themselves.BUT, now that I have,total of 4 plates to utilize, it's a sweet game changer.I will also use another plate in kitchen/dining area as an orderve plate when friends stop by. I can have different kinds of cheese pieces and possibly some pepperoni or crackers in the areas and again toothpicks in middleI plan to use one in bathroom to keep some small miscellaneous items out and handy. It will also dressup the bathroom a little bit.Finally, I do watercolor painting and,am always looking for quality ceramic dishes to use for mixing and preparing paints. With the design of plate having many sections, this will be a super plate to utilize, plus,with a simple spritz of water and paper towel, it will cleanup easily and be ready for the next timeI'm certainly not saying all 4 of these beautiful plates shouldn't be used for Fondue! They are wonderful for that purpose.I'm just sharing the other ideas and suggestions I'm planning on using since I don't due fondue.Also, at first I wondered about the cost, however for 4 beautiful, well-made Fondue dishes, this is a treat at a reasonable cost. Nice 4-plate set!!

These plates are a great size, for fondue, appetizers, or crudités.Specialty plates can be expensive, so upon initial order I thought it was only one plate. It's not. It's a pack of four. Excellent.It fits not only spreads of fruit, but can comfortably fit a variety of cheeses, oils, tomatoes, meats etc.I'm inclined to get another set for holiday dinners. These are excellent quality plates - suitable for entertaining in either a private or professional setting, and the price point is superb.

Although the description of this product could use some work -- they are obviously square, not round, and it's a set of four, not one "plate" -- the plates themselves are extremely high quality. Maybe there is someone out there who would buy an entire set of plates just for fondue, but to me, these plates are better suited for chips and dips and other appetizers you don't want running together. They would also be ideal for someone with sensory issues who doesn't like their food touching.

Can't wait to use these. I love the look and the material is great quality, very sturdy. Shipping was great, along with the packaging. I was worried they might crack but they were packaged very well.

I don't do fondue, but I got these Swissmar plates to use for snacks and side dishes, and they are perfect! The divided sections make it easy to keep different foods separate — great for meals when you want to serve a variety of items like fruits, cheeses, nuts, or sauces without mixing them together.The quality is excellent — they are sturdy, well-made, and have a nice weight (may be a little heavy to ladies) to them. I love the clean, white design, which makes them look elegant for both casual meals and when we have guests over. Also, super easy to clean, and dishwasher-safe, which is a big plus!If you're looking for versatile plates for snacks, appetizers, or side dishes, these are a great value for the quality. Highly recommend!

These plates are well made, have some weight to them, and hold a surprising amount of finger foods. The center cup is intended for dipping, but is not as deep as it could be. We ended up using two plates for dips and two plates for the foods. This worked out great and people we really happy with the options.We've also used these plates for dinner during a BBQ, using the separation to have different meats / flavors on the same plate without running into each other. These are basically a fancier version of a military style plate, while not getting hot on the bottom. In all, really happy with the versatility of these plates.

The description for this product—at least as I write this (and it may change by the time you read it)—is “Raclette/Fondue Porcelain Plate, Round, Porcelain, 25.4 cm x 25.4 cm, Plate for Serving Cheese/Chocolate Fondue/Raclette Dishes Gift Set.” However, despite the singular wording, this is actually a set of four plates that are quite obviously square, as correctly depicted in the product photos.That said, these are solid, attractive, heavyweight plates that feel well-made and durable. At 10x10 inches, they’re generously sized—one plate could even suffice for two people in a fondue setting, depending on appetite and what else is on the table.The description says “hand wash only,” and some reviews mention this, but the icons on the packaging clearly indicate that they are both dishwasher and oven safe—unless I’m grossly misinterpreting them. They also stack well, so storage shouldn’t be an issue unless you’re really tight on space.That said, whether these are actually worth the cupboard space depends on how often you’ll use them. They’re marketed for fondue (and raclette, though I’m not super familiar with that beyond knowing it involves melted cheese in some fashion), but they also work well as serving plates for cheese, appetizers, charcuterie, dips and sauces, etc. They could even work as a fun option for picky kids who don’t like their food to touch.
