It was hard finding a spindle this size. Most of the other ones are too small, this works great for my front door. The removable fittings are a good idea.

Felt solid upon arrival. The treads snapped before I even got the swindle in the door. May have been a lemon but not taking the chance twice. Very disappointed

Great product, but the universal holes don’t quite fit my door. The two most inward holds are too close together and moving the screw to the next hole makes them too far apart. Since I got it for my attic door, I just settle for slightly loose. It’s not overly noticably when you aren’t touching the handle, and it works great even with the extra play.

I can’t use this spindle, but it’s my fault. Seems well made. I assumed that spindles were available in different lengths but otherwise universal. Not so. I should have ordered one 3/8” thick. Definitely not 9/32”. Can’t deduct stars for my own oversight.

Right length to allow the door knobs to be attached on an outside door

Perfect replacement for my broken spindle. It may have to be shortened as needed with a hacksaw

This appears to be more durable than the original swivel spindle that came with my high-end exterior brass doorknob seven years ago. My original swivel spindle broke because the pin that held the two halves together wore out. This swivel is actually a male and female threaded connection. So it is screwing and unscrewing a portion of a turn each time you turn the handle; which seems to be much more durable than the original design. In the picture, it appears to taper slightly narrower on the outside edges, but it is not a taper. This is just threading cut into the corners of the shaft so that you could use a threaded knob if necessary. My knob is set with an allen screw, which works very well on this spindle.
