Two bulbs burned out in less than 3 weeks combined. We’ll see how the last one goes, but so far it feels like someone is pulling a prank on me.

I couldn’t find any energy efficient bulbs at any grocery stores, but alas, found them on Amazon. they definitely give out a good amount of light, and I’m hoping they are saving on my electric bill as well!

These are compact flourescent bulbs. They are 100W equivalent brightness which lights up my front yard quite well at night which is what I got them for. I bought a set of 4 but when they arrived from Amazon, one was broken and it appears to not have been packed properly.

This daylight, 6500K CFL bulb fits in an ordinary lamp base and works perfectly for my planted aquarium bowl. It is warm to the touch while it’s on but not enough to raise the water temperature. Came safely packaged with no breakage.

I bought these bulbs to use for growing plants in a seedling humidity dome. CFL bulbs work very well for this purpose and the 6500k bulbs provide the required lumens to efficiently start seedlings. I normally start with two and add more bulbs as the plants grow and take up more space in the dome. I have used the same bulbs for a few years now so they last a long time making them an excellent value. They do break easily though especially if they are warm, so one must handle them carefully.
