Plug n play directly in my Synology 1821+. It comes installed with a half-height PCIe bracket already (full height included in box), so its literally plug n play. Unlike other generic Intel X540 or X550 cards that usually have full height PCIe. Works on my 10G switch and my 2.5G switch.

Not sure what else you can say, worked exactly as I hoped. Ports train up at the full 10Gb with no issue, the install was effortless, system immediately recognized the new interface, etc. I run iPerf3 right on the NAS now, so it's great having that full 10Gb capability to push/test across my LAN.

Connected this to my Synology 1821+ NAS and it just worked. My other hardware is only 2.5G but if I ever want to upgrade things the NAS is covered. The only thing I didn’t like was the price.

I bought this 10Gbe adapter for my Synology DS1621xs+ to increase one more 10Gbe connection for a total of two. It works as advertised and the installation was simple. Highly recommend this adapter to those who want to experience 10Gbe connection. Once you've tried it, it's hard to go back to gigabit connection.

Snap it in and your good to flow....LOTS of Data really fast! There are way cheaper alternatives out there. Just didn't want any "issues". And so far there are none.

This 10G Ethernet card is made by Synology, so it’s fully supported in DSM. Installation was pretty much plug and play, I wanted to use a Static IP address, so I had some configuration to do in the Synology Control Panel, but if I’d been satisfied with DHCP install would’ve been as easy as installing the card and plugging in an Ethernet cable. Tested with my only computer that supports 10G and got great speeds.The best part is you don’t have to necessarily be running 10G Ethernet to benefit from this card, I highly recommend this upgrade if you’re like me and prefer to run manufacturer official add-ons and you’re running any flavor of Multigig Ethernet (2.5G, 5G, or 10G) in your home. A friend of mine has 2.5G Ethernet in his home and is using this same card, he’s also pleased with its performance.While researching this upgrade I found a lot of third party cards that only support 1G or 10G without support for those in-between multigig standards, so buyer beware if you decide not to go the OEM route.

Expensive, but I went for a branded Synology adapter because I wanted to be sure it was going to work. On an 1819+ undo 6 screws holding the case on, undo the screw and slide up the clamp that secures the card at the top, slot the card in, slide down the clamp, do up the screw. That took less than 5 minutes. What took longer was getting the case refitted due to an arrangement where there's a couple of pins that slide into slots and it took quite a few tries to get it all lined up perfectly, at which point the case slid into position and I was able to do up the 6 screws again. Plug in a network cable and check in DSM and there's a shiny new 10GB interface.

Took me less than 5 minutes to install. Keeps 5-7 Gbps which an amazing speed for a local network. Files transfer and data access are by far faster than before.

This works well in my DS1621xs+, though they are definitely price gouging, the part itself isn't worth anywhere near what they are charging for it. But they do this with all of their parts so I wasn't expecting any different with this. I got this one because I heard of people running in to compatibility issues with other third party cards after installing them in Synology NAS (probably driver issues) and I just didn't want to deal with the potential hassle. For things like RAM I would never buy Synology brand, their prices are wildly inflated beyond reason.
