Bought these for my SXS and they are great. Been stealing the 1" ones from my Jeep. These are a more appropriate size and rating. No issues in how they are constructed and they are easy to pack and store. The are priceless when needed so the price is not a concern.

These are pretty well made, with a nice abrasion cover. But the rope they used is nothing like the Amsteel/Dyneema I'm used to working with. It's much stiffer, even awkward to work with.Seems to work okay though.Definitely much more convenient than tying my own, and then having to stitch up abrasion covers. So I'll cheerfully use these until that magic day when I find myself sitting around with nothing better to do than tie a bunch of soft shackles just how I like them.

Perfect small soft shackle. It’s always nice to have the right gear for the job. Will be perfect in the gear bag in my Subaru Crosstrek. Seems to be good quality, time will tell. Overall great

I don't know why people give lower ratings for items that don't meet a standard that has nothing to do with the product. These are advertised as 10k shackles, so don't rate them as if they were 40k and not meeting that standard. They will work fine on any synthetic line or wire that is the same or less diameter as the minimum diameter of the shackle, so in this case, perfect for ATV winches, boat winches, and other purposes where the weakest link is about 5k or 1/4in or less line. These are well made and have protective sheaths. The only improvement could be to use heat-set line and knots, but, again, they aren't sold as that, so no reduction for that. My only critique is the price, which is about the same as some 1/2in shackles. Otherwise, these look and work great.

These are nice light duty soft shackles. They're well made, just be aware of their ratings before you plan to yank your truck out of a snowbank or mud hole. I'll be using it for ATVs, tractor, and around the house but still a nice option to have.

I have several soft shackles and wanted to pick up a few more for hauling and moving trees and boulders. The ones I have used before cost less than this and were significantly more substantial. If you're going to be putting lots of force on a towing rope or strap, I'd suggest that you not go too thin on the shackles themselves, especially because those points tend to drag and wear a bit more quickly. These might be rated for more weight than I'd probably ever pull, but they are still only 1/4 inch, and I wouldn't choose to use these when cheaper and more durable options exist. I do really like the protective sheaths on these though. They go almost the entire expanse of the rope, and it would be nice if this was more common. I might use these in the future if I absolutely have to, but I would double them up and use both of them as one shackle.

With a 10k MBS these soft shackles are rated for use with approximately 5000lb winches once you factor in the safety factor and WLL . Any kind of lift then even lower in the 2000-3000 range. Nice to have smaller soft shackles in my vehicle along with the heavier ones I would use to tow or snatch recovery a bigger load. My only complaint and it’s a common one on many soft shackles is they didn’t taper the bury ends . These abrupt ends become the weakest point in the shackle and can additionally lead to wear inside the splice. Non tapered splices are weaker than tapered splices . While the bury on these shackles are not true splices as they were only used to bury the ends of the rope coming out of the button knot none the less they have introduced a weak spot in the shackle rope.

Perfect for anchoring while towing or rigging. Also handy for tree work since they are so strong. Great over hard steel shackles so they won't scratch anything, also helps you get into tighter spaces with a nice strong connection.
