Balance: Bad. The overall weight is not heavy at all, but it "feels" heavy when hold, and use.Grip/Handle: SlippyPrice: GoodShape: Fine. Not bad at the very least.Sharpness: Just sharp / not razor sharp.Sheath: Not so easy to both pull out and in, you need to get used to it, and it may takes quite a time.

Clearly this is not actually a firemen's ax. it's shaped wrong. Still, it is cool looking and seems to be made very well.

I bought this with a grain of salt because it was a "mystery steel" but it held up well so far. It's design is its greatest strength in my opinion. Really designed like a combat tomahawk (btw this is a tomahawk, not a fireman axe). I threw this at a log target several times, even hitting chain link fence couple times, but there was no damage I could see. edge held up, nothing loosened up. The tang seems to go through the metal band around the shaft, unlike some other tomahawks of same design. It does feel a bit heavy, but I do have noodle arms and it is required for heavy chopping. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it doesn't specify what stainless steel it is, and the sheath looks rather cheap, and it's hard to pull the axe out quickly due to shape of the blade and the snap-on snagging on it. But it is a pretty good tomahawk overall if you want to take a bit of risk on the steel (my best guess is 2Cr13 but who knows)
