This was a great sword for a costume. I painted it and added leather to the handle to make it more realistic. The sword itself is rather plain looking. It’s pretty sturdy material, I do wish it was a tad bit longer though. But this worked pretty well.

Pretty solid sword.. Some sort of foam on the outside and there’s a metal on the inside for rigidity. Got it for my son for his Halloween costume. He was very pleased.

I would echo that this play sword is heavy enough and rigid enough that it might hurt if you were hit by it. Sooo... Don't hit anyone with it. I think that its weight and durability are nice features that make it feal sturdy and durable. Looks good and serves its purpose.

Très bien pour un costume mais quand j'ai enlevé l'étiquette "china" dessus, la peinture s'est enlevé aussi. À voir si peux corrigé avec de la peinture!

We were truly suprised at the quality of this sword. We saw the photos and such on Amazon but still really didn't think we'd get as high quality FOAM sword as the one we received. We're totally satisfied with our sword and, if you're looking for a good, decorative sword for a costume, look no further. We highly recommend purchasing this Szco Supplies Latex Excalibur Sword.

Not made for sword fighting breaks easily and has a wire frame, more really just a prop, it's a hard foam not latex with zero give broke the tip off on a strike to the body, hilt broke after only a few passes, it's a stout and clean looking prop but if your looking to duel with it I'd pass

This sword has some weight to it! My 11 year old will use it with a costume so I knew a plastic hollow sword would never hold up since we all know he’ll strike at least a few things/people with it. It doesn’t look cheap at all…not movie quality but definitely better than the usual costume swords. It’s a great sword for the price.

THE WARNING: This is not a toy! This is not the same foam used in children's toys, such as the Nerf melee weapons and the cheap-o foam swords found in your local toy aisle. It's dense and will cause pain and possible injury if used without caution. As such, it wouldn't be fit for any LARP that I know of either, due to foam density and the tiny point at the end of the blade.THE GOOD: The foam and core are sturdy. The paint job, while not detailed, is pretty accurate with good consistency and little overspray. The detail work on the guard and pommel are impressive and detailed for foam. Feels great and looks great.THE BAD: The pommel and hand guard don't have a lot of support. They can take a little abuse, but you're likely to tear them off if you're not careful. For a foam weapon, though, they're surprisingly sturdy. The foam on the handle is pretty thin, which leads to a small diameter... great for small hands, not so great for large hands. I'm going to wrap the handles anyway, though, because over time, friction and hand sweat will destroy the paint on the handle.THE VERDICT: Overall, this is one of the best foam weapons I've ever had. The price is mind-blowing in relation to the quality. I love this thing. It makes a fantastic costume prop and works for light sparring/play if used by people who aren't going to hulk out with it. Over time, you're going to scar up the paint if you use it for contact sparring, though, so use it with care. The small size makes it great for kids (with supervision), or great for the dual wielding/short sword and shield look.
