These are probably the most comfortable grass shears I've used. Typically I end up switching to heavy-duty scissors but I used these today to cut down 3 feather reed grass clumps and last year's stems from a large shasta daisy. The packaging advertises these as 'hedge' shears which they most definitely are not. These are not going to be able to cut through hard stems. Today it struggled a bit with the feather reed grass if I didn't get a small enough bit to cut. Especially with larger clumps it wouldn't cut cleanly and instead ripped/got caught up and the base of the blades. In the photos you can see an example of what the clumps looked like before (left) and after (right) trimming.I'm not sure if this is a blade design issue or a lack of patience on my part! LOL While they did ok on the feather reed grass (I completed the whole patch with these today) I suspect that when I move on to the denser/thicker plants like switchgrass and Maximillian sunflower that I'll put this pair of shears down and switch to scissors or small pruners. At a $20 price point I would expect these to be a bit more robust but would consider a good deal at $10-15 for light duty/tidy up grass shears.

I have been threatening to wage war on the sticker bushes in our back yard for quite some time. Picked up this pair of shears to assist in that. They take a little getting used to, but the ability to turn the blades almost any direction to get into those hard to reach spots is a major plus here, as is the very sharp blades (when we got them). After a full day of cutting down sticker bushes, they need sharpening, but I can't really blame the shears for that, I mean, some of those bushes were over an inch in diameter. The only issue I encountered while using them is that as far as I can tell, there's no way to lock the blades into a single orientation, so sometimes, when trying to get into those rough angles, the blades will rotate when you don't want them to do so, but otherwise, these worked flawlessly in my sticker bush war.

I love shears like this for edging around landscaping in front of my house. I had a similar set to these that was old and had been worn out years ago. These are much nicer than my old shears. These are comfortable to hold and super sharp. I love that you can rotate the shears vertically or horizontally depending on how you are cutting. There is an easy to slide up and down safety button to lock them closed when not in use. The only criticism that I can give them is that I wish they opened up a tad wider. I feel like sometimes that would cutting thick pieces of grass and weeds that much easier. They are still great, easy to use, well made shears though.

I love these clippers. I see them as oversized scissors. They work fantastic for cutting fresh greens. I like the cut-and-come-again method with greens but it can take quite awhile with a little pair of scissors. These are fantastic for that. I love that you can easily change the blade position from side to side or up and down. I know they will work great for pruning tomato plants this summer. Fantastic, you'll love them.

These grass shears came sharp enough for grass and they do a great job trimming grass around trees. I have several peach trees that I do not want to use chemicals or a weed eater around, so these will be perfect for keeping the grass under control.I do wish they opened a little wider to take a bigger bite with each cut. The swivel blades cannot be locked in place, but they did not rotate while I was using them, so it seems fine. Overall, they are a good tool for precise trimming in areas where power tools are not an option.

I grow multiple trays of pet grasses and I needed something to harvest the crops. The 360 degree Swivel Blade Grass Cutters arrived just in time for my first harvest of the year. The blades are sharp and make clean even cuts. I really like that these shears do not pull on the roots when cutting the grasses. The blades rotate easily and are very comfortable to use. The ergonomic handle is great. These grass cutters are a good quality and design. The blades are easy to clean, which really helps keep the shears working at top performance. These grass cutting shears are are impressive and a good value.
