I bought this timer to use during meditation. I wanted a short sound after a period of time, so that I could change what I was focusing on in my session. At the end of my session I wanted another short sound. I currently have it set where it gives a short sound after ten minutes and then a one minute alarm after another ten minutes. Then it can be reset to repeat the sequence for my next meditation. But I can actually achieve what I want by adding another sequence so that it would give a short sound after ten minutes, another short sound in ten more minutes and then the one minute alarm after another ten minutes. This could be used for other things too like a reminder to stir some food on the stove every so often. The size is compact and it includes an easily removable slide on/off high quality belt clip. It would be nice to have another slide on/off back with a magnet for kitchen use. I bought two of these and used a small wire cutter to remove the belt clip on one and added a neodymium magnet to stick it to my refrigerator. This is cool little timer.

I was quite taken back when this arrived and had no documentation nor instruction as to how to program it. I want back to the Amazon product listing and scrutinized it for a link to a PDF or some other from of documentation. No Luck. Rather than writing an unflattering review for this product, I reached out to the manufacturer (Digi 1st) via the "contact us" page on their website requesting help with my issue. It has been more than 1 week since I contacted them an I have heard nothing back. Since I cannot use this item I consider it to be functionally useless. It may be a very capable product but I guess I will never find out. Hence a 1 star across the board review.

overly complex functions. would be better if it were streamlined with more clearly defined timer functions. I was hoping for something with a very easy to access 30 second interval timer function... this one still has not worked for me. I have tried to work out the controls multiple times and its drastically overly complex. Its like i'm trying to program the auto pilot on a space shuttle... and i'm good with technology... i am a machine operator.. this is wildly over complex...

This timer is nice and loud, and I like that it can clip to your shirt or shorts. It would be nice if it were magnetic also, but this is good anyway. I really like that it has a pacer function, though I haven't used that one yet. You can set a pacing interval, too.The thing I don't love about it is that it is pretty complicated to set up. The buttons, and the names of the buttons, are not intuitive. The names of the buttons on the timer are different than in the instructions. On the timer the buttons are called "lock", 1, 2, 3, and 4. Those same buttons say above them: mode, rel-mute set, HMS, reset-split BV, and "diamond". In the manual they are called A, B, C, D, and E. Thankfully the manual itself calls them them by the letter names throughout. It's not terrible to use, but it would be easier if the notation were consistent.

It works but I found it to be very difficult to figure out and learn how to use and even after I spent time figuring it out, it is too hard to try to use during my workout to set intervals. It may work ok for meditations, but I haven't tried it for that. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it for those reasons.

This Digi 1st T-5050 Timer has more timer applications than one person should ever need. It can function as a stopwatch with a time base of hours, minutes, or seconds, still giving you a time down to the 1/100th of a second. It can be an interval timer/auto-repeat countdown timer (this is what I got it for, more on that later), an interval/auto repeat pacer, a countdown timer, a step pacer, and a time of day clock. Each timer is cool and the more creative can think of other ways to use these different applications.I got this for use as a Pomodoro timer, which is the auto-repeat countdown timer. What's most cool about using this as a Pomodoro timer is that, not only can you time your work, but you can also time your rest, in one timer. No other timer I have purchased/used for Pomodoro can do that. And you can tell it how many repeats you want, so there are no additional buttons to press, because when one timer is done, it automatically starts the next one.Sports people will know how to use these multiple timers the way they are intended. Creatively, one could use the step pacer as a pocket metronome, which can signal from 10X per minute to 240X per minute. The interval/auto-repeat pacer could be used in walking at a regular pace. I know that, for me, 100 steps per minute equates to 2.5 miles per hour, which is a solid walking pace for me. This timer keeps me on track when I'm not on my treadmill walking, but out at a local park, beeping me 100 per minute to keep my pace about right.I'm sure that other timing needs can be helped by this cool timer. For me, it is a great buy. Not only that, but it feels solidly constructed and comes with a belt clip. There is a slight learning curve, but once you get it, you've got the entire timer. The instructions are straightforward and well-written, and there is an illustration that is immensely helpful in understanding the menus of this timer. The buttons are labeled, albeit in small text but not too small, to help you operate it without the instructions. It beeps AND vibrates, and you can switch one or the other or both off.If you have any timing needs, this Digi 1st timer can handle just about any and all of them, and do it very well.
