Made in the USA, the Survival Archery Systems Tactical Survival Bow - available in various draw weights, weighing in at only 2.2lbs (1kg) and measuring just 21" (537mm) when in storage mode, this patent pending bow is the world's most compact survival bow. The bow employs a novel compact design which allows for a quick conversion from storage mode to a weapons-ready state. One limb is flipped around taking about 15sec and requires no tools (Our longer Recon model simply unfolds and does not require this assembly step). With arrow speeds topping 210fps for our 55# bows this is the perfect silent weapon for applications where firearms and more bulky bows cannot be used. Fitting into most backpacks this system not only protects take-down arrows (not included and sold separately) inside the riser, but is also the perfect weapon for a bug-out bag or grab bag. Patent pending and manufactured using the finest US and Aerospace grade materials this product sets the benchmark in long term survival usage. Converting from left to right hand by simply swapping the bow between hands and the fact that no special tools are required for operation and maintenance, makes this bow easy to use when shared between multiple archers or unit members. What you get: Tactical Survival Bow in chosen draw weight Camo Carry Case, Backpack and Quiver (pattern and colour may vary from photo) 16 Strand B50 Dacron 60" String 1 x Fred Bear All Weather arrow rest to initial chosen handedness (spares and RH/LH options sold separately) 1 x brass nock set with black inner 2 x riser end caps 1 x Velcro security strap 1 x owners manual A 12 month original owner's warranty as per our warranty conditions (Bow only - arrows not included). This is the old model that takes multiple steps to unfold and setup. Get the SAS RECON. Not the tactical.

It's pretty awesome. Setup takes a little getting used to, but it's a 60 inch longbow that packs down to 21 inches. Can't beat that.

Shoots accurate, built like a tank! I am a regular recurve and longbow archer. I bought this to keep in my truck or pack wo fear of limbs being damaged in the hot car. This “thing”, “beast” aka Timex of the bow world is almost indestructible. But it shoots almost....almost ( serious competition bow it is not, serious rugged hunting bow it is) as well as my target competition bows. Unlike my other bows this one is always handy in my car for wherever I am to pull it out of its case, set it up, string it n shoot in less than 2 minutes flat. This thing is so dang strong, if after knocking down game w your last arrow you find you didn’t get a clean kill.....use the SAS as a club to humanely put the deer/hog/bear out of its misery. Love this bow. Well thought out. I also have a Spectre Nomad, and though I like it, the Nomad’s durability does not compare at all to the SAS! I’m not sure the Nomad could be stored safely in a car in California’s 105 degree summer days wo warping. The SAS could easily withstand any earthly temperatures, as it is all metals. With all due respect, to some other reviewers, it is very hard to buy a quality bow for under $150, and bows never come w arrows, so not sure why some complain about its price or lack of arrows. Only kids bows come w arrows often w the suction cup Broadheads. I never see adult bows come w arrows unless it is a cheap piece of garbage or a novice bow. For the materials this manufacturer uses, it is a great value. It is not at all pretty, but beyond efficient at the purpose it was built for, ie compact indestructible always ready bow.

Mid to high potential to lose some critical pieces.

Very light, very sturdy bow. Shoots very well, I bought the 55# version and love it. I put on the provided arrow rest and knock point. Would def buy again.

Price and quality don't match. Would have been a good deal if priced under $100 and that would have included breakdown arrows. Seems as tho' it would be okay for an emergency, but not any kind of sustained use.

My first takedown bow. Have always used compound. I love this bow! After some practice and tweaking it to my shooting style it works great.I would reccomend getting some cheaper arrows to practice with first before investing in arrows for the bow. Once comfortable with it get some good arrows for it. I also recommend arrows with feather fletchings as plastic vanes tend to hit the shaft and your hands when you shoot.Great investment!
