I bought this optic for a .22 LR hunting rifle. It is very well constructed for the price, works well and is easy to adjust to zero. It also comes with a modest but handy set of extras that includes two sets of batteries, hex wrenches for installation and adjustment, and a lens cloth. Adjusting the brightness, reticle color (red or green) and reticle style is easy. It's also easy to turn the optic on and off. The reticle is clear, crisp and easily visible even in very bright sunlight when adjusted to the brightest setting.I did encounter two issues with this optic. First, the optic plus mount combination is tall enough that getting a proper cheek weld on a typical hunting rifle stock can difficult or impossible while using the optic. With that said, the height should be fine for an AR-15 or similar rifle.The second issue was that, after spending a few hours in a closed vehicle during a Southern summer, the reticle didn't work properly when the optic was turned on. The dot would appear and then disappear, more at less at random. Switching to a dot-in-circle reticle pattern left segments of the outer circle - and occasionally the center dot - missing. The optic returned to normal operation after it cooled down for a while. This issue may not matter for target shooting or hunting but it's problematic for anyone who plans to use this optic on a firearm that they expect to be able to deploy quickly from a hot environment (e.g. a closed vehicle parked in the summer sun).Overall, while this optic isn't perfect, it's a good bargain for the money. I doubt that you can find a better optic in the $50 and under category. As long as the height is suitable for the firearm you intend to use it with, this is a good option for an inexpensive optic for target shooting, small game hunting and plinking. I can't recommend it for self-defense or other critical applications due to the heat-related failure described above but it's a bargain for less demanding situations.

I bought this for my new carbine. I like the green/red choices and etc sizing switch on the front. Mounting it seemed easy enough. Putting battery's in was easy. I thought it was cool extra battery's was provided x2. I have not sighted in yet, will soon. My only complaint is outa the box (reason for a 3 star), the green side sight rubber button fell off on the floor taking outa the wrapper. I can only guess its magnetically connected but not sure as I inspected it. I placed back in and it functions, but has fallen off a 2nd time when mounting. Picked up and placed in again! I do see in the near future it falling off once more (possibly the left side as well) out in the field and it being lost forever. If this is magnet type button I'd wish a few extra was also packaged for spares. Other than this issue, everything else seems well constructed and can last awhile being used.

I have never had a red dot sight before and only used scopes and iron sights. This was my first red dot purchase because of all the positive reviews and price point. When I first put it on, I really liked it. It was open and clear allowing me to use both eyes easily.Pros:- Easy to install- Easy to use- Easy to sight in- Green and red options- Multiple shapes for the red dot- Good priceCon:The only con I have was that when I used it outside for my first 3-gun turnament on my AR, I could barely see the sight. It was cloudy and some flurries but bright out, and it was really hard to find the dot/cross/circle quickly because it was all very feint outdoors. I have not tried in full sun, but I would expect the same result.At the range and indoors, the dot is clear, bright, and easy to acquire quickly. But if you need a sight that you can find quickly outdoors in full sun and brightness, this is not the one.

I bought this sight to put on a Panzer AR12 12ga shotgun. Man I love this sight. It is a solid piece of equipment. There is nothing cheap about this sight except the price. It holds a true zero no matter how many double 00 shells or nitro mags you send down range. It was easy to install. Took about 2 min. Simple to zero in. The brightness is awesome just by pushing the button of which ever color your using multiple times until you find the brightness your looking for. No glare from the sun and can constantly acquire the target in the different crosshairs. I’m sold on this sight and would recommend anyone to purchase it. I bought my son one for his shotgun as well and he loves it. I will definitely purchase this sight again if need to for future rifle or shotgun purchases. Thanks Tacticon for a great sight at a cheap price. Thank you guys for your service to our nation as well.
