I ordered these for my wife, who recently started doing kickboxing workout routines in our garage. Using regular tennis shoes with a 100lb heavy bag on a gymnastics-style mat just wasn't cutting the mustard. She needed something more appropriate for her routine, and when I saw these, it was a no-brainer.The sizing on these shoes is exactly what they say it is. We traced her foot on a sheet of paper against the wall to get her measurement but ended up ordering a size bigger because she wasn't convinced her usual size would be big enough. Well, it turns out her usual size would have worked. However, if you have a wider foot, going a half size up may not hurt.As far as using them is concerned, we're in Minnesota, so she's been a bit limited by the weather. However, on the days that she's used them, she genuinely seems to like them. She says the grip feels much better—not too grippy, but not slippery. They're comfortable enough for what they are, and she doesn't experience any sore spots while kicking the bag.The quality of materials seems adequate, but I don't imagine they'll hold up forever, not with the abuse they'll take. That said, the price seems fair, and I can't imagine finding much better in this price range. They're probably not intended for anyone training at a higher level, but if you're someone like my wife, just trying to get in whatever workouts you can at home, these should prove more than worthwhile. Buy with confidence.

While I'm not currently in Martial Arts training, I used to be a long time ago. When I saw these they made me remember how light and airy martial art shoes were. I had to try these out for no other reason than I couldn't wait to feel them on my feet again as well as (off ice) hockey practice The good news is, they are just as light weight and comfortable as I remember and feel like your foot is in a foot Koozie. They are a little tight and narrow but that's because they are intended to precise in foot control. In the course of a week they have melded with my foot shape and I'm getting the true purpose of the shoes as intended. Maybe not Karate, but useful in other applications.

I looked at the available sizing and they didn't have anything listed as US size 10 so I went with the 10.5 assuming better to be slightly larger and maybe wear some thick socks with them and it would be fine.I could have probably gotten away with an 11 because they seem to run a little smaller. They appear to be made of decent quality materials and although a little bit snug because of the size issue they are comfortable to wear.

I’ve worn these taekwondo/martial arts shoes around and, they are very comfortable. The body of the shoe is very well padded and the sole has been molded to the foot well which is great for a supportive and low profile experience.I didn’t order these because I am currently in martial arts although, I ordered them because I remember how comfortable my martial arts shoes were in the past when I was training. This time, I ordered them to wear as house shoes since we normally take out outside shoes off and I need something more supportive than slippers. These martial arts shoes are almost perfect. The reason I say almost is due to the fact that I don’t like the embroidery on the toe in person. The PU leather also is cut a bit too long up the ankle just slightly so the shoes after one wear are crinkling. It’s possible that this is due to the fact I have been wearing them without laces but I’m pretty sure it’s because the pattern is just a tad bit off or you need to be doing a lot of toe extensions. This is the reason for my star deduction.Otherwise, I like them a lot, they are very comfortable and can see myself wearing them for a long time to come since they are constructed well and well-sown. I would also recommend them for the money and for the intended purpose of martial arts training too.

I tend to struggle with my feet being too cold while training during the winter, so I'm always on the lookout for shoes or other foot coverings to train in. These shoes are really pretty great; I can actually use them as true slip-on shoes without even putting the laces in. They definitely do a great job of keeping my feet warm while training. If training on a hard surface or carpet these shoes are perfect, however I find them to have too much grip to use on my standard 1.5" Zebra mats. They have less grip than other similar shoes I've tried, but still too much for me for mat training. When I'm teaching class and not training, however, they are perfect.

These seem to be well made and worked well during martial arts classes. The size was small though and my son could not fit socks on with his normal size 6. This caused sweaty feet and he has not used them again. He said the shoes were good, and if they were bigger her would use them. I would advise ordering up a size.
