Installed this as a replacement for an in-tank sensor so that I could use its sensors on a re-inforced Nylon/PVC sight-glass hose. I would have given it good marks; after installation it pretty much worked. Yeah, the instructions are useless but it doesn't take much to figure it out. You can just slap it on some metal to run the triggers and workout a sequence diagram in like 5 minutes. There are some interesting things about it like the 120v input is bridged to a pin but whatever, again you can figure all that out.Unfortunately, this is where it all goes south. Whole unit fails to power up in under two months of use just driving a small RELAY (which was used to drive a contactor, used to drive a pump). So at $53 bucks, you're going to be giving this crap $300 a year just to keep it going. 0 stars.

Can’t figure out how to make it work bad instruction

I bought this to address filling a cistern setup I have. It does a great job, but I had to circumvent the AC relay in order to control an external relay that could control my 220V well pump. The documentation is pretty good considering it was translated from Chinese to English.Pros:1) allowed me to bypass the internal relay to control an external relay2) allows a manual mode operation in the event one needs to test/debug their system3) has two extra inputs allowing for alarms4) with the design of the sensors, one is able to use zip ties to fasten them. A convenient feature5) price is reasonable for what is offeredCons:1) having an external relay control would be beneficial (not a positive review killer, though)2) one does need to understand water systems and relays when reading the documentation

This controller was a perfect fit for monitoring my main water tank levels and keeping it filled with water from a smaller catchment tank. I am using the 3rd water level monitor ( water ingress detection) to turn off the pump when the catchment tank is empty. The directions took some time to understand. One important part that was missing in the intructions is what happens when the water ingress detection is triggered. If the controller is in the auto cycle and the water ingress is triggered the pump is turned off and the controller waits 2 hrs before turning the pump on again. I used a shelly uni to make it a smart device and it works great.

I am using this controller on the treated water tank on a whole house reverse osmosis system. It works great. The usual float switch control is a real pain. You have a limited range under the best conditions, and it is not very accurate or repeatable. You have to reach into the tank to get it to move in a clear path. The Taidacent capacitive sensor is extremely accurate and is easy to install. Although this controller can be applied directly to the wall of the tank, doing so makes it inconvenient to move the sensor locations in the future. It is much more convenient to adjust the high and low settings if it is applied to a sight gauge. Then you can just slide the capacitive sensors up and down the site gauge. The sensors attach to the gauge with an ordinary wire tie.A sight gauge made from ½” ID vinyl tubing can be easily built for any water tank. The attached photo shows the sight gauge I made for my 600 gallon water storage tank. The tank is on the other side of the wall. Now I can easily adjust the water level without entering or reaching the top of the tank. There is another issue that was also addressed in another review. The common terminal on the output relay is connected to the line leg of the power supply. This might be convenient for some applications but hardly all. I have attached a photo of the PCB land that should be cut so that you will then have an isolated output relay contact. This is very easy to do. If the design came this way it would still be easy to connect this power line to the relay with a simple jumper on the terminals. This is a great option to control the level in a water storage tank. It has great advantages over a float switch.

The unit itself works great. The included sensors do not. The first one I ordered had a sensor fail (stuck off) within 24 hours. Amazon sent a replacement unit and it had a sensor fail (stuck on) during the first 10 minutes of testing. I ended up spending another $20 on some high quality float sensors from Madison and they are working great with the controller. I use the controller to automate the ATO level for my reef tank so reliability is critical. If this came with sensors I could rely on it would get 5 stars. Until then I cant recommend it.

The controller worked really well for our gray water tank. We placed an alarm on one of the outputs, which signaling when it's full. It has worked well for a few weeks now.
