Overall, this unit is an 'okay' in quality of manufacturing, 40 bucks doesn't afford a whole lot. Until I get some sand to blast, I can only do a 'dry run' of sorts, pressure testing of a sort I suppose. It seems like it'll do fine enough for the smaller, simpler projects - it isn't an industrial tool for daily, extended use by any means. it has enough oomph to imbed sand, or whatever medium, into the skin at its higher pressure, so care and caution is still relevant. I'm confident it will work just fine for smaller scale projects, which all I'm after anyway; if not, I'll for certain be back to edit/update my review.

Be sure to look inside the gun for the smaller parts, as the packaging of this is a bit wonky and very much looks like it was tossed together last minute, or perhaps came back as a return and wasn't repacked before sending out again. Even so, this gun includes everything you'll need except the air compressor for smaller stripping and cleaning jobs that would be tedious with alternate methods. I like that it includes a quick connector (found that rattling around the box loose when I thought it hadn't been included) and safety goggles. Even gloves to protect your hands, if you need them. This will be great for stripping rust off junkyard parts for my Geo Metro, and with two nozzle sizes and manually adjustable flow, I'll be able to take old paint off vintage furniture pieces faster than using all the messy liquid stripper stuff, too. Also makes a great gift for any handy type person in your life, as it's on the less expensive side, and if your recipient already has an air compressor anyway, you're good to go.

I ordered this with the intention of doing my first ever sandblasting job. There are some parts that I needed to blast in order to refinish on a restoration project that I was working on. I’ve never done sandblasting but a friend of mine said that he would come over and work with me on my first project to teach me how to do it. Timing wise we couldn’t coordinate a day that worked for both of us. I was under a deadline to get this project done because I wanted it finished before leaving town for the 4th of July holiday. Ultimately, I didn’t want to mess anything up, so I dropped the parts off and paid a company to sandblast them for me. I still haven’t used this gun so my review is based purely on my friend who is experienced in sandblasting and what he told me when I ordered this product. I don’t know when I will be able to learn how to do this myself and actually use this gun, but I’m definitely looking forward to it.I ordered this because I had my friend review a couple of different options that were out there. Since I was able to get this one at a great deal I went with it, based on his recommendation. My friend told me that all the ones I was looking at were relatively similar and that this was a very inexpensive and economical version of what he uses. He does this on a weekly basis and uses his for income, so he has a much more professional set up. This is very similar to the one that he learned on when he first got started. Again it’s an inexpensive one and not meant for heavy or professional use. That being said, it does the basic job that I would need for my projects, is affordable and will last me for years with the little bit of use that I will put into it. It’s a solid option for someone to learn and attain the basic skills with. Once I know what I’m doing, and if I’m doing enough of it, I can decide whether it’s worth investing in a more expensive and professional outfit.
