I use this proximity sensor to signal if a door is locked. I mounted it so it pointed at the lock knob on the door.When the lock knob is horizontal, the, device is off. When the knob if vertical (concave surface facing sensor) the sensor is on. This set up required no special equipment or adjustments... worked right away. I like it!
