These metal hooks are marketed as handbag hangers. I saw other possibilities for using a temporary hanger that didn't have to be affixed to a wall. Initially, I had hoped to attach them to the edge of my kitchen counter but I was not careful enough when looking at the dimensions. I had assumed there would be some flex to the metal but these are much heavier than anticipated so that didn't work. They fit nicely on the narrower shelves in my linen closet. I am going to get some museum putty so they will not be able to slide around but still be removable. I also anticipate using them under the shelves in my garage.

I love this so much. I honestly never realized how much I needed this for when I'm hanging out with friends and happen to have a bag with me. For the most, I normally hang out after work and carry a really heavy backpack and tend to have to leave it on the floor under the table I'm sitting at. This holder does the job and is heavy duty enough to hold heavy bags. I've seen holders that are attached with tiny hinges and that was always my main concern. This holder may be a tad bit big, but I know that it will hold up and be secure when I hang things on it. It's definitely a must have!
