This product plainly stinks (not bad smelling, just works badly). The directions are not really clear because they are in this mash of Chinese and English, so a lot doesn't really make any sense. I have an online business, so I thought this looked neat to dispense tape, so I didn't have to empty my hands & manually measure and cut the tape/use the dispensers. This device technically has the ability to work but it is far from convenient or consistent. It doesn't say what way to put in the tape (sticky side up or down) so it got a huge jam the first time I tried to use (FYI - put in sticky side down). The measurements are in mm instead of inches (yes, I know stupid special Americans but if you're going to market to Americans, either have different measurement display settings or convert to the right market!). I tried 3 different types & sizes of tape and none of them worked great (for the record I just used different types of 'packing tape', not electrical tape). They all kept bunching up and sticking to itself (see pics). Some pieces were fine/good, but never more than one in a row so it will waste a ton of tape. Yes, it has potential to save time by automatically dispensing exactly the right amount of tape but if some/all of it is un-usable, then what is the point? I tried to go through the trouble shooting steps to try to fix the 'excessive curling' (I think that is what it is doing?) by locking the rollers or whatever it called them, but it did not resolve the problem - it actually made it worse. SO I give up. It's a shame because it seems like a fairly well-made product and it's pretty expensive. I should do a return but then with Vine's rules, I can't cancel an order once I have left a review and I feel that giving an honest full assessment of this product is more important for other potential buyers. I do not recommend this product at all!

I got this tape dispenser/cutter for use with gummed tape and it works great. It makes it so much easier to dispense out the perfect length for my various box sizes.
