Pros: Works great to keep tap square to surface Nicely builtCons: No assembly instructions Spring is too light weight; could be a little stronger to provide more tension Turning handle does not have ball ends like a vise does so handle wants to slip out; I bought some ball knobs but did not have the right type of die to thread the hardened steel so I made a new handle from softer aluminum rod, cut the threads and installed the knobs Sleeve that rod slides in and out of has spring loaded ball bearings inside that needed to be lubed to function properly but rod was still a stiff fit and would not travel up and down or rotate smoothly. I had to sand the rod with 120 grit emery cloth to knock off a few 1/1000ths and then polish it to a smooth finish. Works great now
