Seems like good, old fashion stout string. Not a made in China plastic product that self decomposes within 12 months?

I've used this for a variety of purposes - trot lines, hanging tarps, bundling kindling just to name a few - and it's turned out to be a great performer. I was a Paracord junkie before I found out about tarred bank line, and I wish I'd found out about it years ago because for many general purposes it's less expensive and just as versatile.

Excellente ficelle.

Great product for campcraft/bush-craft projects. I'd recommend the braided line over the twisted, do make sure you're checking the product description when completing purchase.

I'm the person who wanted to know if this would work to hang bottles outdoors. Thanks to all who responded. This twine is perfect for that use and I've found many other applications for it as well. The twine is a bit stiff which means it doesn't tangle easily. I used it to hang some outdoor Christmas decorations in place of the thin fishing wire provided. This roll will last a good while, but I now consider it a staple of my DIY supplies.

I don't know if this the best or not honestly. All I can say is that I've used it for all kinds off stuff lately and it is definitely my new go to. It's a little stiff, and the pine tar gives it some roughness. This makes it great for knots and all around usefulness. Don't use where you need a very supple or slippery cordage.

You will spend a little more than you will at wally world but it is worth it. This is actually tarred and in a side by side comparison its not even close to this. I have left this up for quite a while in the elements including in water and it does not break down like other brands. Holds knots like nobodys business.

Smelled of tar at first, which I expected from Tarred Line, three days in the sun cleared that up though. I haven't tried it yet but it seems tough and of good quality. For my purposes, I would rather carry this in my backpack than paracord, it is light, strong enough for most tasks, takes up less space for the length of cordage and is less expensive per foot.

I used this product for "jug fishing", and at first the coating was a little tacky and stiff, but after just a couple uses it lost the tackiness and became very pliable. I definitely would recommend it. Very strong for it diameter, and I believe the dark color helps with night fishing.
