I originally bought the 10.5 inch one and really liked the quality and performance of this ring. It is made in France, of high quality heavy gauge steel (inox 240), by GOBEL. It came perfectly round in a large cardboard box cushioned with bubble wrap. After making several tarts, I realized that many recipes are made for the 9.5, so I decided to buy it rather than to scale the recipe up. Now, I have both and don't have to adjust recipes anymore. You can't go wrong with these rings. Leave it to the French to provide you with rings that they use to bake their own tarts.

Sturdy and real stainless steel. (there are claimed-to-be stainless steel, but they actually rust). Cannot be happier with these rings.

works great; love the way the ring make this wonderful crust. I though that it could be hard to use the ring instead of a regular pan; But finally it's easy and more fun. I used it to make a lemon tart and French Pear & Almond Tart, both turned out wonderful.Strongly recommend this product for pie loversshipping was within 3 days
