I had purchased a lot of this tea a couple of years ago and it finally started tasting like there just wasn’t any flavor in it, so I bought some more, hopefully fresher tea bags. The bag shape has changed from the old triangle pyramid shape (kind of disappointing) but the flavor is just fine. Very tasty decaf.

During college, I had the unique opportunity to attend Oxford, which not only changed my life entirely but also left me with a lifetime time love and longing for good English tea. P&G Tips have been in the tea business since the days when wooden sailing ships used to deliver the tea all the way from India.It's a very unique and subtle flavor that my wife and I regularly enjoy. I switched to the decaf variety a few years back (doctor's orders) but neither my wife nor I can tell the difference. I just asked her something about the tea while writing this review and at this moment my wife is brewing this brilliantly British tea.

Love PG Tips Decaf tea and love that it is available on Amazon - however, please don't send a box like this in a bubble envelope! The tea arrived in the mailbox totally crushed with the box of tea ripped open and the inside of the bag full of tea powder.

Sometime in the last year, they changed both the tea and bag for this product. What used to be able to make a 20 oz pot, cannot even make 8 oz without a second bag. The quality of the tea has dropped considerably as well. I don't know if they are using a different decaffeination process or what but there is a definite chemical taste and smell to the tea it makes. Used to love this tea but their product refresh is a scandal. Doing a running change this drastic should be a crime.

The package arrived on time. The tea is pretty good for decaf. I ended up making it in a pot, rather than using two bags for a large mug. It's never going to be quite as good as real tea, but it is pretty good. No caffeine, so you don't get the energizing effects, but neither do you get the negative effects that some people get from it.

But…the packaging was completely destroyed. Luckily the tea bags made it! For my old mum who wanted. Can’t beat a brew!

Its hard to find a decaffeinated black tea that tastes like real tea. This is a good substitution, although a bit on the harsher side of flavor. PG Tips is a pretty standard brand in the UK, but is considered an import in the US, so the cost reflects that. It's a nice big size with 70 teabags in it, so it lasts for at least a month, depending on how much tea you drink . Since its a bit string, you can brew an oversize amount without losing flavor. Mine arrived in the original tightwrap, so if you order more than one box, I think the tea would stay fresh for as long as the box is unopened.This particular specialty tea is fairly hard to find in America. The regular kind of PG Tips has trickled into supermarkets here, but usually just the caffeinated version, since that's obviously more popular. I've noticed there is also a version that just says "Decaf" with a pink label, and I don't know if thats just just an updated design choice or if that's actually a separate product. The one I ordered is has a royal blue swirl and says "The Tasty Decaf"Either way, this brash tea stands up really well to milk and sugar. So if its a nice strong cup you want, while keeping it caffeine-free, try this out.
