I’m not sure if they sent me the wrong shock or what. But this shock looks nothing like the pictures and is so friggin stiff. It has zero give. Even a 250 pound man said the shock and spring were way too stiff. It did bolt up to my bike but none of that matters if I can’t use the dang thing. I might as well have put a metal pole there instead and it would have more suspension.

Had to change bushings but worked great as a upgrade for my meelod. Super plush and soaks up the bumps.

This fit the shock pins perfect but you will need 4- 1/4” spacers. Two for each end.And you will need to trim upper shock mounting bike to clear top of shock. As shown in picture. This is the 290mm/11.4”x 250lb , it seems to be fine. And works way better than the stock shock. My son is around 130, we did not adjust coil tension yet and no bottoming out on jumps now.

6'00'' 190lb rider, rough aggressive trails and track use. Combined with 1 inch spacer, this setup is money! Perfect feel. Also recommend the front bbr heavy springs and extended travel dampening rods with 15w oil then you'll will be dialed! Kickstand will also be about 2 1/2 inches to short so be prepared

The 250 lbs spring was too light for me, but I should have looked for a 300mm shock, as the 290mm was a little short, and threw off the bikes geometry tremendously. I chose this size myself, so there was nothing wrong with the description or seller. The shock is very well put together. The bushings are nice and solid. I do suggest your buy yourself a shock spanner to adjust the preload. The adjuster controls the compression and rebound simultaneously. So, if you like your rebound faster than your compression, you're out of luck. They'll both be the same speed, no matter how you set it. that's the only reason I give it four stars.
