Installed it the day before riding and laid my sporty down to test it out! ;) lol. It protected like it’s supposed to. It took most of the beating but my license plate bracket took a slight bend. I wish I had these on my first bike but sadly I didn’t and when I went down the bike took damage to the frame and it was totaled. I know that this would’ve saved it. Invest in a crash bar!

This was a great replacement item for one that was scratched and had started to rust. A couple of bolts; and two sets of hands made the installation easier.

The screws that came with the bar were impossible to get into my existing mount. Not the hardwares fault, road grime and age decayed the mount. Recommend purchasing third party nuts, bolts, and washers. Or even better, a correct size tap or thread chaser to clean existing mount holes.

Very nice fit had to leave the top bolts loose enough to get the bottom bolts tighten and then tighten the top bolts. It goes perfect with the color of the bike. The guard could be benrt back a little bit so the forks will not rest against the guard. Overall I love them really well and for the price I saved a lot of money.

Bought another brand on eBay trying to save money and you get what you pay for, it was so bad I had to return it, so I saw this brand brand on eBay and here on Amazon for the same price. Saw good and bad reviews but decided to give it a try based in amazons return policy for prime members, it was not the perfect fit, it about 3 to 5 degrees of on the angles once you placed to top bolts, so I let them be really loose to allow the bottom ones to enter and proceeded to tight bottom and top at the same time and the bar started to go into place. Removed it to put Blue Loctite, a must for this install and retightened all again into place, it’s good metal, way cheaper than the Harley tax, received 4 bolts but used the originals on the bottom and used the supplied new longer ones on top. Read the service manual and torque to specs, or you might never remove them if damaged by over tightening. The rubber parts are super cheap, I expect they will fall off at some point but I don’t care. No install instructions but plenty of videos on YouTube and once you start, you realize it’s very easy.

It is made well and is a perfect fit.My husband said it was an easy install and it was exactly what he wanted. Took a bit to figure out how it went on as it didn't want to line up properly but once we got it started it works for what we needed it for. The feet plastic doesn't stay on and moves all over the place and external feet pegs would be better
