I’d give it a zero if I could. It saids it’ll fit my 99 sportster but it is way off don’t waste your money if you have a 99 sportster

Bottom bracket needed to be ground down on bars side about 2/8". Other than that fit fine and bolted in well. 2003 sporster 883 with no forward controls.Install bottom bracket to bike first. Then attach bottom of bars. Rotate unit into place and attach top bracket. It helps if you have someone else to help attach the top. Top is not the easiest to line up and install but take your time and it will come together.Well I high sided at about 5mph on grass. Bottom bracket slightly deformed. Bars slightly deformed. Unfortunately they crushed the front exhaust pipe on right side when they deformed. These did a somewhat good job of protecting the bike and I am ordering another one. If it had attached to the frame I would have expected more. For the price it did it's job.

The strength, chrome quality, and thick welds is why I gave it 5 stars.I'm a tinkerer so mounting it was a fun little game. Shaved out one black piece hole with a drill to fit the bolts that were too short to fit my 96 Sporster anyway. A quick visit to Ace Hardware and this baby is rock solid. Also, I made extra brackets to move it forward 1" to clear the controls further.

Saw a lot of reviews about it not coming with instructions, sorry if you can’t figure out how to install this you should not be working on motorcycles. Took me less then 10 minutes to get it installed, for under $50 bucks in today’s market I can’t complain, welds seem good, feels very sturdy, I did have to add a couple washers where it mounts up top to the frame, not a problem.. had em on hand. Overall I’d highly recommend this “crash cage” building my bike to stunt so it’s bound to be dropped.. I’ll update this review once it takes a couple good hits. So far I feel like it’s definitely worth the money and adds protection.

Get your own hardware and it’s not so bad. You need 1/2” longer top bolts and replace the long ones with some nice stainless. Grinded the bracket down 1/4”. Worth the 50$ just not an easy install. Would recommend tho
