The solid wood is sustainable hardwood cherry with a flame-blackened edge and a laser-cut moon and stars motif, made with no plastics, stains, or chemicals. The removable strainer basket allows for simple, easy cleaning. Mug not included. Made by hand in USA.
Care for your solid wood: If needed, use a Scotchbrite pad (or similar scrubber) with dish soap and warm water. Dry with a towel or allow to air-dry - as with all wood utensils, they are not recommended for dishwashers. Occasionally oil your utensils with natural coconut oil, mineral oil, walnut oil, or beeswax using a paper towel or dry cloth.

I use this multiple times of day and it gives me much joy. I'm comforted that I'm not using tea bags (especially nylon). It's well made.

Great sized mesh - effective, but doesn't clog. Beautiful wood and cutouts - just needs care with washing and oiling and it has stayed beautiful. I would purchase this again or as a gift for someone, and will enjoy mine for quite some time to come.

I have tried a lot of tea strainers and this one is by far the easiest to clean and steeps the best without leaving big tea leaf chunks in the cup. Plus, the design is beautiful!
