I purchased this tea because it was listed on a fluoride-conscious website as lower in fluoride than almost any other white teas. Who knows...I hope it is. It is not jasmine, but it has a slightly jasmine taste.

This review is for the Imperial Yunnan White Tea. I'm just realizing that there is also one from Tealyra called something like Premium White Silver Needle that is different...that's the one I had on auto-ship and when I ran low I ordered some Imperial Yunnan by accident and it is so much better. Just fresh and fragrant. I'm not saying the other is bad, but in my opinion the only reason to get that one is that it might be a little less expensive per ounce. This stuff converted me from a bourgeois teabagger into a loose-leaf tea snob.

As ar as silver needle tea goes its got good flavor and good condition leaves. I, however, found a long piece of black hair in my bag which I noticed just before brewing it. Not a great feeling to have and skeptical on drinking the rest now.

I ordered this tea with 4 other items and was due for 3 separate deliveries. After I received the first two, I checked to see when this would arrive. It said that it was delivered with the second package. But it wasn't. I have ordered on Amazon since 2014 and never had this problem. I love this tea, but it is expensive and delicious, so I was worried. The company sent the tea and it just arrived today. I am so happy that this company worked with me. I love their tea and was worried that maybe I would have to order elsewhere. Thank you Tealyra. I am so grateful to (finally) be getting my tea. :) :) I always thought I had to go through Amazon as this is from China (usually takes long to get). This came from NY. I now have other options. Thank you Tealyra!! Thank you Amazon too.

My silver needles tea arrived on time, fresh, and was a great price for this product. Silver needles is my favorite tea. This tea is pleasant to sip after 3 minutes of steeping. I have found that the needles can be reused to steep another cup or two if used within the same half hour or so. I find that 165 degree distilled or filtered water works best.

I really enjoy white tea, but often stick to green tea because of the price difference. There's really not much to be said about this specific product that you can't say about other white tea. All the leaves were whole and in tact; 99% of the bag were whole, undamaged leaves as you want with very few, "scraps," left at the bottom of the bag. The flavor was subtle and nutty with very low caffeine content, making it a good addition to any tea you want to mix it with, whether it be green, yellow, black, oolong, or most herbal infusions, however if you are going to mix it with anything but green or yellow tea, you should brew them seperately as white tea should be brewed at a much lower temperature than black, oolong, and most herbal infusions.

This didn't taste anywhere near as good as Tealyra's "Premium White Silver Needle Tea". Although, the visual quality of this Yunnan tea is MUCH better, with very large needles and no loose leaves whatsoever. The smell of this tea in the bag is more of a grassy-type smell. When brewed, it smells less sweet and not much of a honeysuckle-like taste or aroma. I'll definitely finish off this bag, but I'll more than likely stick with their other Organic silver needle tea from Fujian.
