If you have a Capra with a 3 gear flat skid and want a QUIET trans with included rear under drive options, Than this is a great pick. If you run a FUSION like you should??. It puts the motor about 10mm. forward compared to the axial 3gear, So it does not rub the rear upper link anymore. Plus this trans lets you configure it in different facing positions. FWD.or Backward. I had a axial three gear and it was good, But it lacked the front vanquish type overdrive it needed. This solved the problem and its quiet. I highly suggest getting the metal spur gear plates, Better alignment less flex+strength. It was tough switching to 48pitch gears but after running them for a while now they are strong and fine. This trans has been around for alot of years and is a proven great trans. Lots of Youtube videos. If there is one thing i have learned about crawlers, That is plastic gears does not mean weak, but it does mean Quiet. Nothing worst than a FAX machine following you around your build. It really is a fun trans. kit to build to. (Would buy again)

Never made it past step one. I did get step 2 done but without step one done I have nothing. Screws were so tight in step one that it felt like the screw was going to break before half way in. They didn't but they did not cinch up either. I tried to back them out to grease them or wax them or something to get them to go in enough to seat and two stripped out. If these plastic gears needed to be screwed to this metal part with this hardware then Element should have done that. It gets a star because that is the minimum. It has zero value or use for me.

I have an axial sc10.2ii and I stripped gears in my old trans so I heard about this one through a friend and was told it’s one of the best out there. Upon further building this transmission the instructions in the bag was very vague and not very descriptive. After I found a few videos on YouTube I got it and I will say after that everything else has been super easy and the overdrive is great!
