Nice pouch to separate & protect small pliers. I have every slot filled and it rolls up and closes nicely. It's well made, and the red color is easy to spot. Update 2 years later: It's held up very well, and I bought another one for some newer small pliers. It's a great pouch (roll).

Received the set of 6 pliers today. Have not used them much, but initial impressions:I was impressed by the machining and accuracy of the tip of the jaws. They meet perfectly and I could grip the tiniest bit of material with them. The springs work extremely well without being ‘overpowering’ and causing fatigue using them. I was unsure if they would be too small being 4.5” to 6” long. But so far, they are very comfortable and fit nicely in my hands. Even climbing up on the tip, the handles still fit comfortably in my palms and are easy to use. Makes for ease of use for the tiny projects I bought them for.Seem like a quality build, which is harder and harder to find anymore. Time will tell if they hold up, but so far I am very happy with them.

There are tons of cheap mini pliers on amazon, some singles, some in sets..and prices vary greatly...honestly you can only put so much force on something this small, so most will do whatever job you need, and you can go with the cheapest if you like,99% are virtually the same except for the color of the grips anyway...these from tekton are probably middle of the road to upper in price, but are taiwan made, not chinese..if you like nice tools, these are the 1%, that actually are nicer,a true step up from the most common chinese made ones you'll see..they are proper well made tools that will last, they are precise and feel nice to use...yes you can absolutely spend less, but you'll get less...its up to you and what your priorities are.

Nice little plier set, they operate smoothly and the spring return action has a good feel of resistance. Flawless construction, points of contact are precise and close firmly together. Nice handles which feel like they would last an eternity. At $77.00 for a set of six I feel it is a reasonable price and worth that cost. Looking at the price when purchasing individually however I think seems very high. In conclusion I am happy with this purchase and would recommend this set. Without knowing with any certainty, I would expect these pliers to begin to rust if not kept in dry conditions and stored in a moisture proof container during extended periods. I will keep a light oil film on them, especially when not in use for some time.

This pliers set truly is a quality set, nice smooth action on all the pliers and cutters, a good field in the hand, nice spring return design, evenly ground and aligned Jaws, a good price for a quality set of 6, money well spent, I definitely would recommend these pliers to others.

Great fit and finish. Comprehensive plier set. My only complaint is the spring action is too long and stronger than necessary. I would like them better if the spring action only pushed the handles open half way and was lighter.I am adding an update to my review: Changed from 4-stars to 5.A year later this set is still a top performer in my daily use tool box. The springs all have been removed and sit in a little pile in the corner of the drawer. They came out with no damage and could easily be replaced, if desired.

This set sat in my Wishlist for months. I was having a hard time justifying the cost difference between the TEKTON set and a cheaper set from a different manufacturer. I am glad I went for the more expensive TEKTON set.WARNING: Accompanying pictures constitute Tool Porn. The attention to finishing detail make them absolutely beautiful to look at. The quality makes me smile when I use them. The are so beautiful I felt compelled to make a stand for them so they would always easily accessible instead of storing them in a tool box. (See pic which shows the TEKTON set next to the Olympia 2-Plier set it replaces.) Used a scrap piece of reclaimed heart redwood to make a stand, added couple of coats of varathane and it complements the tools beauty and is functional. Got carried away and recessed the bottom to hold the product ID card which I also laminated.

I decided to gift myself this set. I paid about $10/plier and I see this set is no longer available on Amazon? I have had some cheap mini pliers and some mid range and these look to be far better.Pros:1. Grips are the "old-school" rubber grips that seem to last forever. I have/use tools from the 70's and the plastic handles like these are still good. Far better that the rubber stuff that turns to crap after 5 years.2. The spring. Holy cow. It's such a seemingly small design feature that just makes the WORLD of difference. They are so nice to use because of it. Other mini pliers have those tiny "springs" always pop out or those 2 flexible "interlocking" metal bands that don't really interlock well. These use a coiled wire embedding in the handles...check out the product pictures.3. Fit and finish is perfect. Everything works smoothly...no hiccups or having to pull open the pliers. All are machined beautifully...no gaps...teeth mesh correctly.4. Laser etched name and product number. Nice touch. (makes me feel they might be proud to sell these)5. From the Tekton's web site...they are supposed to have a super strong warranty.Cons:A bit expensive? Maybe...but honestly...Not if you demand good tools.
