I mostly purchased this set for the clear polarizing lens but did end up using couple of the others as well. I missed out on some great footage of kayaking right next to some dolphins last year and was hoping this would cut down on the glare, and was pleasantly surprised that I could see more through the camera now that I could even with my polarized sunglasses. These are great if doing any video around the water or other surfaces with glare, and very nice for the darker filters when it's really bright or you're looking towards the sun.

I only use my GoPro Hero 11 as a dashcam. I was having a bad reflection from light bouncing off the dash board onto the windshield. This polarizer does the job pretty good for the price. It really cuts down on the reflection on the lower half of the windshield, especially. It stays on snugly with that rubbery foam gasket on it. I won't be removing it in my use case, so i don't know how well it will stand up to repeated removal.

If you plan on using your GoPro Hero 9 to film through the windshield of your car, then a polarizing filter is a must. It cuts the glare of your dashboard reflected on the windshield.I just went on a road trip across the country a few months ago. I used two dashboard-mounted cameras. The GoPro had this polarizing filter. The other camera didn’t. Although the other camera usually has great video quality, it all looked washed out and over-exposed. That’s when I realized I was seeing glare from the sun-lit dashboard, reflected off the windshield, back into the camera. The GoPro with this filter didn’t have that issue at all. The colors were crisp with dark blue skies.The filter mounts over the GoPro’s removable lens protector, using a rubber gasket. I’ve never had any trouble with the filter coming loose or anything like that.Do note that there is an orientation to the filter, marked by the text on the top and bottom edges of the bezel. If not mounted in the upright position, it will not cut dashboard glare.Good luck!

I bought these because I thought they'd be easier to switch in and out than filters that replace the Hero 9 Lens Cover, and they ARE easy to swap on and off and the price is very attractive and the quality of the filters themselves is very good. BUT, the inability to put any protective cover over the lens (as mentioned by another reviewer) turns out to be a problem. At the moment, I'm unaware of any third-party products I can use for this.Another issue for me is the lack of a reasonably compact storage case. This problem should, however be able to be resolved with a 3rd party filter case. Although, the box they came in protects them very well, it takes up far too much space and is incredibly difficult to open.I'm afraid I'm going to have to bite the bullet and spring for the Polar Pro ones (which have the added advantage that they CAN be used with virtually EVERY other accessory that's available for the Hero 9.Guess I'm heading over to EBay to unload the Telesin filters.
