this fixed my old Tempstar furnace problem perfectly ... furnace would run just fine for a few minutes and then the burner and pilot would cycle on and off every few seconds ... this symptom is consistent with a flame rollout (limit) sensor going bad and incorrectly sensing the temperature at the sensor location as higher than it really is ... temporarily moving the sensor further from the burner would resolve the problem, proving the sensor was bad ... replacing the sensor is an inexpensive fix, avoiding an EXPENSIVE visit by an HVAC outfit ...
