I use it with optical output from a 15 year old tv. Includes a remote. My only complaint is that the volume cannot be set even lower, the lowest volume setting is still quite loud with my focal monitors

Tried 7 different music USB devices (in 2 cars, a home theater, 2 PCs, 4 BRays), all with different pcm specs below 192 kb and smaller than 32 GB caps. None worked with the product I received. It was lights on but nobody was home. My project was to make a 15 year old top-of-the-line Sony theater play music from USBs for dinner with minimum equipment glutter. This device was ideal if it worked and it remains my preferred solution, again if it works.

Worked great for about 3 weeks.....then just stopped. I checked all the sound settings did internet search for trouble shooting.....nothing. Made the mistake of throwing the box away. Buy at your own risk .

I purchased this DAC to provide high impedance RCA outputs for connection to analog equipment. Unfortunately, the unit was not compatible with my android phone (which has USB jack). When connected to my PC, the sound quality of the DAC was markedly poorer than from my PC's low impedance headphone jack and bluetooth. You get what you pay for at this price point, but it's hard to imagine many circumstances where someone could find this device useful.

Quality is not the best as I would have hoped and I got some audio lag when connecting to a PC for use with my audio system. Worked well besides the PC
