We recommend changing both your strings and cables at least every two years due to stretching that occurs over time. Many people tend to replace only the strings, as it’s hard to tell how much the cables have stretched. But why take that chance?
Think about the disservice you’re doing to your crossbow’s limbs over time if you don’t change your strings and cables. Try watching a slow-motion video of a crossbow being fired to see how much strain the string, cables, limbs, and even axels go through each time you pull the trigger. Sure the quality is good. Love my TenPoint. However, this string does NOT fit the SiegeRS410, despite what's in the description.

Always should have a backup set of strings and cables. Having my own shop I try to impress that on my clients. I can get/make them but it seems they only have problems on opening day.
