I purchased these booties as a Christmas gift for my father. I was afraid of him using his tractor snowblower in just his wool socks during the winter. I wanted him to have warm Christmas shoes all winter long. These booties would have been perfect shoes for him, but I discovered that he wears real shoes to snow blow. Still, he was touched by my thoughtfulness, and the Christmas booties are still very nice and warm in the closet.

Tentock Down BootiesI use these as part of my sleep outfit during backpacking trips. They are fantastic for this purpose. Additionaly, if I need to leave my tent for any reason I slip on a form fitting silicone bootie over these things and then I can walk outside on them in mud and wet dirt, but the booties remain clean and dry when I once again return to my sleeping bag.The height of these also warms my calves and they don’t slip down. I strongly believe these help my feet and calves stay limber and healthy.I try not to walk on them much so they can last as long as possible.

The product appears of decent quality and wearing them they definitely feel warm. I would guess they will work out well for a sleeping bag scenario. I have a 11.5” feet and the xl feels right. The only issue I see is that the booties have an aggressive seam in the inside that runs along right where your toes end up. Very noticeable by feel and very annoying. Enough to return but I turned them inside out and they work. This is not something you want to walk around in so I will be slipping them on when I get into the bag and off when I get out so this works

I have had two pairs of these booties. The quality is so-so at best. The feathers started coming out of a side stitch. After I patched it, another inside stitch gave, and the bottom of the bootie was filled with feathers. Another pair I have had not a big problem with feathers, but mis-shaped quickly, so you are walking on the uncushioned part of the bootie. A very mediocre product, I wish the outdoors companies could give us better bootie / indoor footwear that are not too thin, or mis-shape. It can't be that difficult.

Other reviewers have mentioned how lightweight these booties are, but I am finding they are keeping my feet plenty warm once my body heat warms the foot in the bootie. I am using these to sleep in, not for walking around. Outside in a tent I put wool socks on over the booties, and stayed warm while I slept.. The ankle elastic is good too to keep the bootie on. These definitely would not be good for walking around, and I did not try using them as socks. The down flattens, and there is no padding. So in my opinion, wearing these to sleep in is their true purpose. Other opinions?

These work well for in your sleeping bag or anytime your stationary without weight on your feet. I can walk around the house with them, but the down gets compressed and I get cold feet. They are good for what they are designed to do. They are lightweight and small for backpacking.

I purchased another maker of down booties 6 years ago, in an attempt to solve my cold feet problem, but they did not do the job. I thought I'd give it another shot with this brand, but these also don't bring my feet out of the cold zone. The quality seems good on these, and the fit is good: I'm a men's size 10 1/2 and I ordered the XL. If you don't have cold feet problems, but are needing something for camping, or for winter indoors or out, I would imagine these would be beneficial. I can't recommend them for chronic cold feet sufferers. The price point on these is good for the quality; the booties I bought prior were 27% more expensive and no better in quality. Keep in mind that these are soft, unstructured booties meant for comfort and warmth in a camp side, sleeping bag, bed, couch, chair, etc. They have a slightly textured bottom which is material very similar in thickness to the rest of the bootie, which would allow for a quick jaunt in close proximity to camp side, or to the fridge or bathroom indoors; but beyond that and they would seem to wear down quickly.

These are way too small.. A extra large is roughly a size 6 in North American shoe measurements.. And definitely not worth $34..$10 at best.. Yet another Rip off from from China

These are nice and warm but be extraordinarily careful walking or you might slip and fall! These could be vastly improved by using a rougher textured sole, such as Cordura nylon. I cannot stress enough how slippery these booties are.
