This is my second time to purchase a Terramar base layer. My black one was my all time favorite. It has lasted a lot longer than my REI ones. I get cold easily and these kept me warm through the winter months. It’s my go-to base layer for commuting and hiking.

I found not enough fleece to be warm. I ordered large. They’re also too busy for me. I returned.

Let's start with the fact that the misalignment of the fabric (see photos) drives my OCD self crazy. Was going to send back for replacement but the option isn't available :(Trying to convince myself it's not a big deal and I can still wear it. We'll see...Aside for that issue, the pants seem very well made. They're slightly thicker than other brands I've ordered, but also have lower % of wool (35).I ordered these to use as my pilates pants, but unfortunately they're not that flattering on my hip and stomach area (and yes, that's important to me. Can't help being self conscious about it). If I do end up keeping them, I'll use for layering in winter. The fabric is not as soft as other merino wool products I own. On a 1-10 scale of soft to scratchy (1 being really soft and 10 really scrathcy), I'd say it's a 4.The back part of the waistband has a small pocket (see photos) that could fit a credit card and key. Wish these pants had side pockets like yoga pants. Been searching for wool yoga pants with pockets but have only found one or two and they're way out of my price range at the moment (over $140).Sizing and fit:They're a bit tight in the waist, but loose everywhere else (hips and legs) so it makes for a strange fit. They bunch a bit at the knees. The length was good, if a tiny bit long, for me (at my 5.2").My measurements for reference:Bust: 36 inch/ 90 cm (bra: 36DDD/80F)Waist: 32 inch/ 80 cmHips: 40 inch/ 100 cmInseam: 26.5 inch/ 67 cmHeight: 5.2 feet/ 1.58 meterWeight: 140 lbs/ 65 kg*UPDATE*I returned the Medium and ordered a Large, hoping that the flaws in the M wouldn't be in the L and that the L waistband would be more comfortable.Obviously the L is much baggier on me (and I generally like a snug fit, especially for layering). Again, its tightest at the waist (though, the L at least has more stretch so its not uncomfortably tight) and loose at the hips and legs, which doesn't make much sense to me, given that my hip to waist ratio is bigger than average (so in order for these to fit perfectly on someone that someone would have to have a super tiny waist and huge hips).Overall: I got these when they were on sale for $40. The full price is $70. I wouldn't recommend these at the full price, but on sale they could be worth the try.Hope this was helpful :)

These are nice quality Marino wool pants but I had to size up because I have a big butt. Unfortunately, this made the pants loose in every other part of my lower body. On top of that, the material is thick. I'm pretty sure that it bunched up a little bit in my ski boot and caused the bruise that I now have on top of my ankle. But other than that these are nice pants that'll keep you warm.

As a dog walker, these merino long underwear have been a game changer. On some of the coldest Minnesota days, these kept me warm! They are so comfortable, I sometimes just use them for sleeping. Buy a pair with a matching top. You will not regret it.
