This worked for a little while but the ants will slowly come back. I recieved the package in a timely manner and it functioned correctly but doesn't completely eradicate the ant colony and they come back even after multiple uses.

I just found my house been attacked by carpenter ants (the big black ants about 1cm long each), they came from different directions outside the yard. I used dozens of different insect control spray, vinegar, detergent for a month, it killed some on the spot but they kept coming back right the way. I found this one from the Amazon, sprayed the foundation around the whole house, the ants disappeared from outside of the house next morning and only found one or two per day for five days found inside the house, now almost a month and no more ants found inside or outside my house. The container will not work properly if you do not shake well before use and hold it straight up, the yellow color chemical foam spray for about 80 feet per container. This product not available at most of the local hardware stores. The price is a little cheaper from Amazon and I received it in couple days

Had some carpenter ants to deal with, and two cans of this stuff did the trick. Like others, I opted to drill into the drywall to apply. Before a full week's end, none were spared - more than a month later without spotting a survivor. The nozzle tended to leak a little bit, but nothing you can't manage with a rag on hand. I never feel great about using aerosol 'cides but no real smell with windows open to air everything out. My only real grip is the price - even as a two pack these are more expensive per unit here than the local box stores.
