These are the first dedicated biking pants that I’ve owned and I like them because they are breathable and light. I don’t like the feeling of my legs overheating while trapped under fabric. I’ve worn them for mountain biking, commuting, and on evening neighborhood pedals. They worked great for all three, always with a chamois. As a Santa Cruz mountain biker, I am ecstatic to have light pants to protect me in fall/winter from poison oak that is everywhere on our trails. The knees are articulated to have room for pads underneath. I might also wear these pants for hiking, gardening, or rock climbing - they are very comfy, stretchy, and multipurpose.I’m 5’6”(ish), 130lbs, not a curvy person, and I ordered a size medium. Because I envisioned wearing them to mountain bike with knee pads underneath, I sized up from a small. Honestly, I think a small would fit me better than the medium, but the medium is the right length, albeit with extra material around the waist/hips and in the thigh. I was able to cinch in the waist to fit using hooks on each side. There are ankle zippers that go up high enough to let in some airflow if needed. There are also two thigh pockets that are quite deep — they can fit a phone and/or snacks. I was able with gloves on to zip and unzip a pocket while pedaling. If the pants had a tighter fit on me, the zippers might be even easier to work with one hand. There is a back pocket that has a velcro closure that is deep enough to drop in my iPhone 14, but the phone peeks out just over the velcro (not a deal breaker). Of course if you’re on your bike, your phone isn’t going in your back pocket anyway.

I was skeptical. $150 is quite a bit. As a Vine reviewer, I can't return things that don't fit, but I do have to pay tax on it. I do not like to order stuff I won't like or can't use just because it is "free."But happy news...these are excellent quality and fit as expected. 5' 7", 129 lbs (these days), and they actually fit almost exactly as they do the model in the picture. There's probably room under for yoga pants or something else thin if these are going for a really cold bike ride. But they'll do a good job keeping the cold wind out! It's a bonus that they are also quite comfortable and can be worn in casual out environments.
