The Test Tubes,40Pcs Test Tubes with Rack, Plastic Test Tubes with Caps, Science Tubes and Test Tube Holder 16x100mm (12ml) are poor quality. The holder is not sturdy enough for any real use. My package arrived with more than a third of the tubes cracked beyond any useable degree and that was without any damage to the outside shipping package.The tray they come with doesn't hold them steady enough that I would really trust putting anything in them other than water. They are much too unsteady in the tray to hold anything and they crack very easily. Not only that, the caps don't stay seated in place, they pop out for no reason at all. In my opinion, this set is not well made at all and I do not recommend it. It is definitely not worth the money.

The tubes are up to standard. They are a good size for the water testing that I am doing. But the holder is flimsy and came with a couple of little scratches in the plastic like the one in the image. The tubes fit nicely and the item stays together. I wish it had come with some kind of instructions on how to put it together, though I was able to figure it out. Would have been nice to not have to do so.

First things first. These are not real laboratory quality glass test-tubes. And definitely not suitable for any kind of lab environment. They're more like something cheap and unbreakable that you'd get for kids, or something cheap to hold small items in for organization. Or possibly a prop for a film or just background décor.I would almost go as far as to say to avoid doing any kind of chemistry or science experiments with these.But, if we look at some of the uses mentioned in the description, the stuff about Halloween makes sense, but not sure about how this would be a Christmas decoration. Storing small parts would work, and maybe it would be a way to grow seeds. Other than that, these are practically useless.They're not the best quality, and the stand is rickety, unless you use glue to keep it steady. The tubes wobble in the holes quite a bit, so they don't line up well.The price of $15 could be a value depending on what they're used for. As a novelty, I'd say it's not too bad.But, any implication that this is useful for science experiments is a bit ridiculous -- maybe if you're mixing vinegar and baking soda for the little ones. Or for a Halloween party.For those very limited purposes, these will work.The rating is tough. If the intent is decorative, then I'd say five, but for experimenting, it's a zero.Overall, the price is fine for decorative uses, and storing small parts . . . and that's all these are useful for, so I'll split the difference. Three stars.

These arrived extremely quickly and are exactly what I was expecting. All of the tubes but two had caps on them and the other two had the caps within the bag. There are ten of each of the four colors, as you can see in my pictures. The tubes are very clear and are not scratched or damaged in any way.It came with a rack that is very easy to assemble. They are labeled 1-10 horizontally and they are also labeled along the vertical side. Two of the racks have larger openings and the third rack has smaller holes to go on the bottom. The other two seem two b interchangeable. The rack probably took me about one or two minutes to assemble. It did not come with instructions but I think most people would see instruction for this as an insult to their intelligence as it is extremely simple.

I got this set to use for house plant nutrients. I have a nice assortment of houseplants and taking care of them is one of my hobbies. The difference species in sizes of plants can feed pretty differently so I got this set to be able to store nutrients in pre-measured doses. I always hate mixing up two or three different strengths of nutrient for my different plants because it takes forever to measure it all out and sometimes I'm just in a hurry to get to work or something and need to get them taken care of. I use this set of test tubes to have nutrients pre-measured out. It's great that there are multiple colored caps for the tubes so I can keep track of which nutrients are for which sets of plants. I can fill them all when I have time and then when I'm in a hurry I simply grab a tube and dump it in a jug of water and I'm ready to go! The tubes and caps feel a little flimsy and probably don't fully seal, so if you need something airtight these aren't for you, but for me they're perfect and the rack just makes organization and filling easy.
