My husband uses this to clean our 9mm weapons after a day at the range. He says it results in a very clean bore, but can be time-consuming and a bit messy.

Great stuff. I was using Barnes copper solvent and it just didn't seem to get all of the copper no matter how many passes. Tetra took the remaining copper out, that Barnes couldn't remove, and did a great job with a different firearm with fewer passes.

I cleaned several guns over the weekend to test , , , and against . Here are the results for Tetra Gun Copper Solvent. This stuff smells horrid! The good news is that I had to have it close to my nose to smell it and my wife wasn't complaining as she sat next to me while we watched TV.I previously cleaned all of my 1911s with Hoppes #9 a couple weeks ago. I used Tetra Gun Copper Solvent and then Breakthrough or M-Pro 7 to reclean the barrel and the guns. The very first rag that I soaked with Breakthrough or M-Pro 7, after the bore was soaked with Tetra gun, came out filthy. I had no idea I was leaving so much carbon and copper fouling behind after I only cleaned with Hoppes #9. After that it only took me 3 patches before I was using clean dry patches to remove the residual cleaner. The dry patches were coming out wrinkled but just as clean as they went in.I used Tetra Gun Copper Solvent on an M1 Garand that I purchased at auction but hadn't shot yet and a M1903 that I hadn't cleaned or shot since buying it. The patches came out black with copper and carbon fowling on the very first swabs after soaking the bores for 5-10 minutes then using a phosphor bronze brush. The M1 Garand had a rough life before I purchased it and a lot of the patches came out green with copper before I was finally able to get it clean.Tetra Gun Copper Solvent has a yellowish tint to it and you can dispense drops of it straight from the bottle. It's also very thick like molasses. It doesn't take much to get the barrel soaked and to start working.Pros:Thick and yellowish tinge so you can see it and work with it easily to keep it off the stock and your clothes.Works quickly.Bottle can dispense drops or a steady flow.Smell doesn't spread throughout the room like other gun cleaners.Very strong.Cons:Very strong, protect your gun's finish and your clothes. Wear gloves.Smells Horrid. It has that burning amonia smell to it.
