I have a 300+ gallon pond that was really murky and this stuff cleared it right up without bothering the fish. It does make everything settle to the bottom, so a filter is a good idea also.

Cleared up our 55 gallon pond after a big storm made the water cloudy. Did it pretty quick, too.

This didn't work as well as I thought it would. I had a hard time getting my pond clear this year. It always worked before so I don't know if they changed the formula.Or I just didn't work this time.

It works! My pond had a bad algae bloom. The particles were so small the filter mesh weren't catching them. Once I put the liquid in the algae started to clump together and finally get captured by my pump and filter materials. I was finally able to rinse out the green gunk! Some of clumps floated to the top and I used a fine mesh skimmer to scoop it out. I recommend you commit to hang out by the pond when you put it in so that you can be constantly skimming and rinsing your filter mesh to speed up the process. I had so much debris and gunk it clogged my waterfall filter a few times lol. So I just hung out nearby and rinsed the sponge material and put it back in the waterfall so I can continue to filter that stuff out of there. My pond is finally clear and back to normal! My pond is in full sun in the springtime before the leaves on the trees grow back. so I will now be using this product each spring to keep things clear. I have fish and tadpoles and nobody was hurt in the process!

I mixed solution in five gallon bucket with water then poured into my pond. The next day I cleaned my filter thoroughly. I repeated steps after three days but only used half of solution per directions. Then the next day I cleaned my filter again and also my pumps to remove any debris. This stuff is amazing!!!! I have 11 ducks that use this pond. I will use this all summer! I also have koi and it did not negatively affect them.

First I would like to start with letting you know I am a previous Pet Shop owner in business for thirteen years. I am very educated on taking proper care of my Koi. I purchased this product to clear my 465 gallon Koi pond in which the water was discolored. My water hardness, nitrate, nitrite and ammonia levels are all correct. I have an high end filter that pumps over 400 gph and a fountain so I certainly have proper aeration and filtration. After using this product I begin losing my Koi the next day and I am continuing to lose them daily. I have lost as of today 17 smaller size Koi fish. Over the years in the Pet Indusrty business I spent thousands of dollars stocking Tetra products in my store. I had an enormous amount of regard for the fact that Tetra was a well respected line of products. I even have been to Tetra seminars at Pet Industry trade show when I owned the Pet shop. I am very distraught that I have loss 17 Koi. I have spent time taking a lot a pride in my pond and maintaining it properly. I am not at all naive of how to maintain a pond or Koi fish. I will never purchase ANY Tetra product again and I highly suggest no one ever uses this product unless you want your prize fish dying. I actually treated my pond for less than my actual total gallons because I wanted to be sure what reaction my Koi would have to the chemical. I used 1/4 cup which is instructed to use for every 300 gallons. I followed All instructions 100%! This products needs to be pulled off the shelves of all Pet Stores. I am now concerned how many more of my Koi I will lose. Only have 14 left out of 31. And no my pond was not over populated as my larger Koi was 5" and then they went down in size from that to approximately 2". Buyer be aware!!

This works. Barley straw did not. We have a very small pond, only about a 40 gallon capacity, which we built for a wonderful old box turtle who used to live here. I've kept it anyway because it's just such a neat little spot. No fish in it. There are some algae issues, but mostly the water just gets very cloudy and murky, even though a strong pump keeps the water moving. The directions on this product say that it will cause all the contaminants in your pond to clump together for easy removal, and it does. I use a kitchen strainer to remove them. A little TetraPond goes a long way -- since our pond is so small I use only about a tablespoon mixed in about a quart of water. I pour it in the pond in a spiral fashion, agitate it a bit with the stream from the garden hose and leave it alone. In 24 hours the water is absolutely crystal clear. Amazingly so. Clear water over pebbles and seashells is just a lovely sight, as this photo shows. There's 7" - 8" of water in the pond, but it's like the water's not even there. A tablespoon twice a week is all it takes to keep the pond healthy and looking so enticing. Happy customer.
